$.50 per kwh electricity!

Electricity rates are likely to quintuple (here locally) as the result of an avalanche early this morning that cut all hydroelectric power to town. Rates are expected to jump from $.11/kwh up to $.50/kwh and we have been told that .50/kwh maybe a conservative estimate

Right now we are on Diesel power and the repairs could take 4 months.

we don't have a natural gas pipe.. so that isn't an option either..
