I know i am still no veteran or anything and have lots and lots to learn about this sport and the ins and outs out competing etc. but I have some advice for alot of the new guys out there.

Bodybuilding is a sport that is comprised of MANY MANY aspects. There are things like learning nutrition, proper training, sleep, reducing stress, etc. that are very very important and seem to be overlooked these days by those looking for a quick fix. Matter of fact I have some very close friends that just do not understand that building a great body is more than just tons of AAS, insulin, GH...

When i started really getting serious with this this is exactly what I thought and trust me from my years of mistakes and wasted time and money..to really go as far as you can you need to research research research EVERYTHING! NOT JUST JUICE..and setting up your cycle and so on and so on. Also most people that I personally know start super-supplementing too early and they end up regreting it. Just some advice from personal experience that I felt like sharing after reading some of the rightful complaints of some of our vets. Take it for what its worth.

Peace:)

I agree, but it's going to fall on many deaf ears. We all learn in our on ways. But many new guys will think they know everything after they have read the threads on this fourm. (Without the expirence) I see it everyday.

It absolutely blows my mind how many guys can rattle off a ton of knowledge about the Rx's they're using yet they couldn't tell me the number of grams of protein in an egg or a can of tuna. A lot don't even go to the gym at all when they're off and when they do it isn't until they've been "on" for 3 weeks. lol They know they're compounds though!!! That's hardcore BB!!! Not!!!

Exactly!

They aren't eating six times a day and they couldn't tell you how many grams of protein they are consuming. "Oh I eat a lot..." that's the stuff I hear.

Pisses me off actually. Meanwhile they are doing in a couple cycles more drugs than Iv'e done in my life.

True dat!!! The sad part is that most of them barely even look as if they lift weights, let alone have that "juiced up" look that they're shooting for.

When I was in my early 20's many moons ago, I was that guy.
I looked for the "Quick Fix". With age comes wisdom!

MID-LIFE!

If that's you in your avatar.....I'd say you have aquired much wisdom! lol

Looking huge, man!

hahahhaa..Holy crap! Okay.

Nah. That's Gary Strydom.

I am laughing pretty hard at myself right now...but you have to give me a break. His face is sort of out of focus in that shot! :)

another thing is injuries.

learning how to train properly and not just moving huge weights would be the second peice of advice i would give. getting stronger is important but not at all costs.

im really in the process of checking my ego right now and i lowered all my training weights. i got a patella tendon injury and shoulder impingement by trying to get stronger at all costs.

IT is just that you are getting older and you eyes aren't good as they use to be.:D :p :D

I'm close to his age, but no where near his physique. Gary looks great for 47 (I believe)

hahahaha! Thats a fact bro. Im natural but sooo many douches at the gym come up to me and ask what im cycling and how long ive been on it ect. And its not cause i look good compared to guys that have been at it for a while or anything, but because i DO watch my diet and have educated myself(and still am for sure) on the basics. Because of that i look twice as good as these guys you are refering to that run a cycle if something they dont even understand and workout 3 days a week until they get off the gear, then stop completely. Its hard to tell whether its funnier, sader, or more irritating...

Yea i hear that bro lol..i am pro AAS, but i hate it when people think that in order to bust your ass in the gym and work hard you have to be "on":p

That is beacause society/media teaches us that, "all you have to do is take this pill and you can look like this" Hence, you are taking AAS to look like that. America has become fat and lazy, hard work and being fit is not the norm anymore.

yup. what amazes me (and i know this is a sore subject for some as ive read in other threads) is how many kids, even younger then me and i just turned 24, who are never gonna compete hop on whatever they can get their hands on, but have 0 aspiration to do any competing. So many of the so called 'gym rats' from where im from have such a laughable work ethic its unreal. Its juice, workout, get off juice (and not even properly from what im learning on this site), stop working out.

I gotta be honest though, im sooooo curious to see what its like. My biggest concern is that ill get too addicted to the gains to stop, even though i could get at least part of the way there with just consistent training and diet.

most of the time unless you respond very well (most i see dont) i think you will grow bigger faster and for longer if you build a really good base first. I read awhile ago and i see it now for sure its like taking a 4 cylinder car and an 8 cylinder car with the same mods to each the 8 cylinder will produce more hp. Meaning if you build a good base natty when u cycle your already working with more, which will have the potential for greater gains.
