Anyone using a juicer?

I'm thinking of getting a juicer. I'd like to up my intake of fresh veggies and I think a juicer would be perfect for this. I don't like to prep stuff a whole lot so cramming veggies into an automated machine sounds ideal!

If you'er juicin' let me know what product you have and please provide a review on it.

:D

If you get a juicer you can throw your multivitamins in the trash can were they belong. Your immune system will thank you.

I use a champion juicer I think it is called. Let me see if I can find a link.

Found it: http://www.championjuicer.com/

Go easy at first, if you are not use to juicing (vegetable juice :D lol), you can get sick from the detoxification.

check these out

friend of mine has one of these and loves it.

Thanks for you comments dudez!

I see Breville was mentioned. Amazon has great ratings for them and the 700W model is ~$90 and it kicks ass according to the reviews. Users say it's better than the Jack Lelaine juicer (if you're benchmarking against it).

I bought a Jack LaLanne juicer from Costco a few months back and I have to say it's a little hyped up. On the infomercial they show someone shoving carrots down the juicer and thats FALSE! You have to cut the carrots into little pieces and put 3 or 4 at a time down the shute in order for it to work otherwise it gets stuck.

i have one we rarely use it but it does make pure juice out of everything like pure apple juice or i like to juice cranberries.

I'd have to disagree. My mom bought me one of these things and I have used it several times. I used the precut/cleaned but still full size carrots and put them down there whole with no issues. I have been pretty happy with it so far, the worst part is the cleanup, but its not that horrible, maybe 5 minutes.

it's cool to use! but the clean up is a pain in the ass..you have like 4 parts you have to take apart to clean.

also check EBAY..i paid like $75 with shipping for a new jack lalaine juicer. their like $100 plus tax at the store.

Champion suppose to be one of the best. I had the $300 Breville and it broke the second time I used it. Motor blew out and I was just using apples.

It took me 5min to figure out your avatar Dragon. At first I thought it was some naked dude bending over lol Look at it, looks kinda like that lol didnt realize it was a flexing back.

My neighbor let me use her Jack L. juicer. It's pretty cool. I was jamming whole veggies into it: cucumber (broke in 1/2), broccoli heads and stems, tomatoes (whole), pineapple slices w/the hardcore outer covering on it yet (jammed it up a bit but I got it going again), etc.

It makes some great juice but yes, it makes a bit of a mess. I guess that's to be expected from a machine that rips apart juicy veggies and fruits!

Now I have to seriously ask myself if I'll continue to use it and if I'll get my money's worth from a juicer. I'll have to continually buy larger amounts of veggies but I've read that carrots make a great base and you can buy them in bulk. :)

I just got the 700 watt Breville from Amazon.com. highly rated.

I am getting into juicing to perfrom periodic "cleansing"/"fasting" phases 2-3x a year and other as I learn how/when etc.

Anyone else do this to ant extent???
