Anyone's wife get in shape after getting WAY out of shape?

The more I have conversations with older guys, no matter if married, divorced or single they almost all say the same things, some more angry than others.... it almost always makes me feel like I don't want to be married...

I’m finding this post rather baffling frankly. I’ve been on stage more than a few times, but have no where near the bodies of most of you. So I’m perplexed why any wife or significant other won’t stay in shape just to keep you guys interested. Again, I’m not in most of your leagues but yet I’m often getting attention from the ladies, both with and without my SO around. She knows that, so she stays in extremely good shape. Of course she is an actress/singer/Zumba instructor so she has to stay fit for her career.

Reminds me of my 20th HS reunion I attended a few years back. I’d say most of the guys were +20 lbs too heavy, but none were obese. The women on the other hand…sweet baby Jesus. I just cringed when I saw some of them, thinking back to when I used to date them. I’d say atleast 80% were overweight.

The best part was my ex wife was there (she left me for the pizza delivery man when I was in Iraq). She did a double take, once when she saw me and a second time when she saw my GF, who is 15 years younger than her (and me). Ha

Not until after I divorced her... She got skinny again to rope another sucker in, got remarried and swelled up like a wood tick again, feel kinda sorry for her new dude.
My new wife would never let herself go, she's just a different breed of woman, old school, she respects me and herself too much to let that happen, I wish I had her disipline with diet and cardio. Just had a baby 8 months ago and she's allready in better shape than ever

I would just think it would be very difficult for me to spend so much time on looking good and being able to do things that many people half my age can't do, and yet have a wife that was severely overweight.

As a chick I think it's completely unfair for a woman, or a man, to let themselves go after marriage. A little bit of pudge here and there, okay, especially after children (for the woman that is lol) , but it's not unreasonable for a partner to want their SO to be roughly what they weighed on their wedding day as that's the contract they signed up for Nothing worse than someone complaining about their weight or something else and then not do anything about it. Make active steps to work on fixing the problem and have a cry here and there if you must as you're making progress, otherwise shut up lol. Partners owe it to eachother to respect their own bodies, and to keep the romance going which of course includes physical appearance

This is a sore subject for a lot of people, me included.

My first wife was a gorgeous, 5'9" 115 pound redhead with full C-Cups when we started dating.

After we got married she was up to about 160 or so within the first year.

At her biggest while pregnant, she literally hit like 240, more than DOUBLE the size I found her at.

She was completely unrecognizable, and I was beyond miserable. I literally tried everything I could think of to help. Tried to do all the cooking, bought her high end bikes and encouraged her to ride with me, bought her gym memberships and encouraged her to go with me. All I ever got was bitching and the tired, "YOU SHOULD LOVE ME NO MATTER WHAT!"

The only time she dropped any appreciable amount of weight was after I left in order to reset the trap for the next sucker. She maybe hit 160-170 then. She's back up to full on hamplanet status.

It really should be criminal to put some poor guy in that situation. I was embarrassed to be seen in public with her. I felt absolutely no physical attraction to her. It was miserable.

At least my story has a happy ending. I've been with my wife now for >8 years, and she's still the same hot Blonde Bombshell with a banging body she was when I met her. We go to pool parties together and she's one of if not the hottest thing there. She's in the gym with me, eats well with me, and is an absolute partner in everything. Keeps me completely drained dry as well.

Nobody should have to live like that. ESPECIALLY a dude who keeps himself fit and has legit options.

My wife gained on average of 40 pounds during her pregnancy (man was the doctor pissed!), however she got back in shape each time and did so immediately.

She is naturally slim, loves to eat fried/fatty foods, and runs 4+ miles a couple times a week. I could never eat the way she does and stay so thin

I met mine in 1988 and felt I had to hit the gym 6 days a week to keep up, she was that damn hot. I first competed in 1990, local type shows but did well, won what I got in. We married in 92 kid in 1997, she still smoking hot until like 2006 then the wheels started falling off. In 2009 when I stepped back on stage she was supportive / tolerable of my bbing. Last time I got on stage was 2011, by then she was over the limit and would not even go see me in my show (state level, nowhere near pro here lol).

Seems to be the general rule here is no they dnt get back in shape (FOR US). They do seem to get in shape real quick as soon as they need a new man ie. meal ticket, money, dick etc.
In all honesty with the way society is today the weight gain needs to be one of those things that gets discussed at the beginning of the relationship. Meaning you and her both have to agree that neither of you is attracted to a fat ass so you won't tolerate the other letting themselves go and getting huge. But with that said you yourself can't get comfortable and become a fat ass either.
It has to be understood that you will do your best to stay attractive to your SO.
My current gf/future wife was told from day one that if her ass gets fat I'm gone. Yes I actually told her that, maybe not day one but within the first month. I told her point blank that I am attracted to her as she is now and not as a fat ass, of course she got pissed and said I was shallow but after explaining how I felt about it she agreed and saw my point.
Conclusion is this, 90% of the time they won't slim down for you their husband but will slim down after the divorce in order to get a better selection of men that will find them more attractive with a slimmer figure.
