Just wondering if any of you guys have any suggestions/links for baseball specific training that have been of use to you.
Ball season is around the corner and I'd like to add something new to my training to be better prepared for a long summer. The last few seasons I have incorporated a few crossfit style workouts and found them to be beneficial for my power and agility but I'd like the outline of something more sport specific. Unfortunatley my bros could care less about actually training much for ball season and I dont have much support/advice from them. They just tell me to play more hockey in the winter...(Canadians eh)
My main area of focus is hitting for power. Hitting for avg has always been a given for me. I have studied roatational hitting the past few seasons and will continue to improve on this.
I have also always been quite fast and have been plauged with hammie strains the past 3 years. One was quite significant (physio helped). What can I do to strengthen my hams to minimize injury?
My stats are age 30 (only a few good years left lol) - 5'11 - 230lbs - 10-15%bf. I plan on coming into the season at 220lbs or so.
I appreciate any help/suggestions.
Cheers
