Body waxing experts..help?

I just got my first body wax and it wasn't plesent. I got it done yesterday so its been about 24hours. I still have major redness on chest and back..and some pimples. Is it ok to hit the gym today or do i have wait till the redness goes.
 
Just had this done a couple weeks back and I went to the gym the next day which now I regret. My back broke out horribly from it and 3 weeks later is finally starting to clear I would wait one more day let your pores close up sweat with a shirt pressed up against is just a feeding ground for bacteria. Just my two cents
 
I've gone to the gym the day of waxing. Which is not recommended. Be sure to scrub, exfoliate with a mild antibacterial soap mixed with tea tree oil. Gonna feel a little raw at first but will help with future breakouts.
 
Thanks all..i am going to wait till tommorow to hit the gym. my skin is irritated big time..small pimples and red on the chest and back.
 
If you`ve got small pimples, which is common, do NOT exfoliate! you will bust all those open and spread around the bacteria most likely making the acne worse. Research different types of wax. many places use cheap shit wax to try and make more money, these hurt more, pull off more skin/less hair. If you want, go buy the was "roller" yourself and the strips. I coats it on perfect thickness, no mess. More expensive is hard wax for more sensitive areas. This does not use the paper strips and does not pull on the skin like the soft wax does.
 
After waxing put some Aloe Vera on and take a day off from the gym.
 
seems like a common theme

My wife waxed my back and chest--it was incredibly uncomfortable to say the least. Like most you, I broke out really bad on my back to where I looked like I was shot several times with buck-shot. I ordered Proactive on ebay and that really got the problem solved very quickly. Needless to say, I use only shears and razors these days.
