Bone grafting followed by dental implants! - Diet and recovery

I have knocked out two front teeth. about 3 years ago. I have been putting this off due to cost; but I need dental implants. Has anyone ever had them? If so how is the recovery and whole process like?

I will also need bone grafting; due to Bone loss.


So it will be bone grafting >>> wait a few months >>> implant placement. >>> wait few more months then finally tooth placement.


Is it a relatively easy but lengthy process or is it going to be a PITA?

I too was told that I needed bone graft before they could do implants.
I went to another Dentist and got a second opinion and he did 2 implants with no problems.
You may want to get a second opinion.

Recovery from bone graft takes 1 month and then you get your implant base which takes 3 months to heal. Once fully healed you go back in and they glue the final tooth part to the metal implants and viola you have teeth again.
So time till you have teeth is 4 months minimum from the time you get your bone graft.

Pain is only for the first day after surgery. Youll be fine.

I had one bone graft fail due to infection from food getting trapped. I hope the next one "sticks."
