I would like to dedicate this thread to Hutch as he gave me the idea from his thread on Bouncers. I have worked security for 12 years and get paid 10GBP/hour over here in Northern Ireland witch is about 20USD I think. So what you guys and gals getting paid.

Bouncing in Northern Ireland....Goodness gracious 20/bucks an hour almost makes it worth it...lol....I work with many scots and the head of my division is from Ireland...I have heard many a stories...

You have been doing it a long time Bapper but I still want to tell you to please be smart and safe for you and your family which is about to get bigger...

I started bouncing in 1981 and made 150 dollars a night,I dont know for sure but IMO it should be at least 25 dollars an hr,with the shit you got to deal with today I wouldnt even want to do that type of work,my first job was in NYC were I grew up and I worked at a club called "The Fun House" it packed 4400 people that night I was a 19 yr old kid and I says to myself WTF did I get myself involved in but 150 a night was good $ back then,so I hung in there and started a long relationship in the bouncing business,It becomes sleazy after a while,so be prepared to see some stupid fucks,I also got to work at the world famous studio 54 on 2 seperate ocassion,That was a fuckin side show Good luck in your edeavors,but for my $ no less than 20$ an hr....... Yup, Philly most of the fellas I know are getting $20 an hour or more. They also get a tip-in where they take cash to let someone in front of the line or to let males in where they really only want females. Philly is a tough place to bounce sometimes though, especially places that do not have metal detectors.

I know here in Vegas if you are working at Tao or Pure its like $16/hr plus tip-ins(thats where you make your money) $300-$400 a night is about average.

4-500 per week cash at a strip club + tips. got an extra 50-100 for bachelor parties and private parties. got to work with a ton of porn stars and playboy/penthouse/hustler chics and got extra $$ there also driving them around, taking them to the gym, etc.

worked there for 5 years, you really get burnt out on all the sleaze.

Last bouncing gig I got $20 cash per hour, plus any tips when at the door, which were anywhere from zero (most nights) to $80 (rarely). Only worked Friday and Saturday nights.

And I agree with you completely, NYmuscle! I won't do it anymore for any money (ok, maybe $50+ per hour - cash).

I used to get $100 a night In Detroit from working 10-2 and about $150 for doing after hours partys. Spent allot of time at local police stations, and came home bloody too many nights! If I had it all to do over again I wouldnt do it!

The only good thing was at the end of the night I could usually go home with a few hotties!

Get anywhere from 12-20 an hour. Sucks because it barely pays the copay for getting stitches...a lot of bars wont cover medical.

Bounced for a long time in the late 80's and early nineties. We got $15/ hour plus a percentage of the tips at the bar. In late 1992 a great friend of mine (who I was working with) and I were physically removing 3 very drunk and high individuals, we caught them snorting rails off of the back of a toilet. I took on 2 of them while he removed the smaller louder prick....I watched him get stabbed 21 times from the stomach all the way up to his face. I couldn't get free of the 2 I was involved with. I was finally hit over the head with a beer bottle and they all fled on foot. I ended up performing CPR on my good friend while trying to keep him intestines and one of his eyeballs from falling out on to the floor. He died 30 minutes later with 3 fatal wounds to the heart. I never bounced again.

Ask yourself if it's really worth it, it can be quite entertaining as well as an adequate source of income....but you really need to ask yourself if it's worth it.

I have gotten 16Can a hour plus tips. works out to about 300$ a night. Not worth it as it gets a bit to violent at times. Cant put a dollar amount on your life!

I work in a club in Norway and I get 26$ a hour. There is almost no tip-in since everybody with some cash here got a VIP card and dont need to wait in the line. The bartenders make alot more because they get all the tip money

I did it for one summer. The pay was low but there was always alot of broads to flirt with. I threw a few people out-you have to be in good cardio shape to do it, which I wasn't at the time. I know one guy that use to use one of those shock things to put people down. Those taser guns I see the cops use are awesome. That would be the ticket if you bounced.

I'm on just under $25, but I'm the head doorman (so extra responsibility) and I don't get any tips (occasionally people offer them, but it's always the bad boys that offer them, so I never accept). I have heard of bloke's getting up to $35 around my city as well. I'm looking at getting out of the game in a few months though, I've finally realized my life is worth more than $25 an hour.

Anywhere from 10-25 an hour (this includes tips) I usually average out to around 17$ an hour. This is in a college town.... On game days, I make bank...and also have to deal with a lot of drunk dickheads....

Her in OZ was gettin 25p/hr bout 15yrs ago. Not much has changed since. I train a few of the boys here and still bout the same. As many of you have stated, not woth it. I couldn't agree more. But when you're young the money is attractive.

Did the bouncin gig for 6 years in college town and a summer at Mother Fletchers, Myrtle Beach, SC. Not too bad a deal, except when I had a gun pulled on me in the college town by some gangsta wannabees. That was my last night working in the bar business. Better ways to make cash.
