The program description:

Jose Canseco, the former baseball superstar who blew the whistle on the game's steroid scandal, has used steroids himself for the past 24 years. Now Jose wants to finally get clean, but he's terrified about what may happen when he goes through the process. There has been no medically documented case of someone quitting steroids after using them for so long, and the doctors have different opinions about what Jose will go through physically and mentally. Viewers watch Jose play guinea pig as he tries to end his long addiction.

Agreed. It was mostly a joke, they make it sound like he'll never have normal levels again. Do what most people do for HRT and inject... but they couldn't make that seem like a popular option in the segment of course.

I just watched it. Wasnt that good. He def doesnt look that good for being on for 25years. There are a few shots where he is a monster but you can tell he was one of those guys who just did cycle after cycle and lost all his gains b/c he probably did no pct. Im just suprised he's so dumb about everything. At first I thought it was just for the show but now that he was caught with hcg he must really still think he can recover. Perhaps he wanted the HCG for fertility? Cant you use HCG to get fertile while on htr?

Yah but his dr would have prescribed that to him. Very easy to get a script for if your already on hrt.

I don't understand when the voice over says something like the gel is designed to teach Jose's body to produce testosterone again. Isn't he just using Androgel? I don't understand how they can do such a terrible job of representing what's really going on here. In order to put something into laymans terms it's not necessary for them to misrepresent the truth

Now I thought the doctor he went to had no idea what he was doing. It's shame, that someone could be called the "Godfather of Steriods" and not know shit about how to use them properly.
