Cash or no cash?

I've always purchased equipment locally but now online orders look attractive.
Prices are better, and from what I read here and hear from guys where I work, quality is as good or better. When looking online many merchants want
you to send cash through WU. Is that safe? In the past, I use cash locally or
credit card. But buying from a foreign country is worrysome to say the least.
The merchant is spoken of very highly and I've heard and read all good about
him. Can someone help me out? Little inexperienced here. Thanks

Dont do it. Just do what you have been doing. why fix it,,if it is not broken?

Locally is not so great anymore. some merchandise is bogus or subpar. this
foreign merchant is well known around here and well advertised.

I use WU all the time, i pay in cash. Its safe as long as your working with someone you know is good. Sounds like you've heard from plenty that he's GTO, so I wouldn't be worried.

i would say do not do anything that makes you uncomfortable, and definately dont send money you cannot afford to loose. accidents can happen.

sounds like the best advice. not everyone is a scumbag, WU is just an easy was to exchange money for goods/services. not everyone wants the hassle of credit cards or paypal. WU doesn't mean you are going to get scammed. you just have to have some faith in people. that being said, never spend more than you can afford to lose - on anything anywhere.

for example i have some particular car parts on a model that has a 'fanbase', some of the parts are hard to find or simply not manufactured anymore. i wouldn't know how to go about getting paid by a credit card or paypal, and i wouldn't want to go through any hassle to set up accounts to sell like 5 items. i would want WU - i would have no intention of scamming, just want to make things easy on me.

(and yes gentlemen i really am talking about car parts!!!!)
