Maybe it's just my gym, but I've noticed a lot of people complaining about "having" to work out. What I mean is that; daily I hear guys and chicks, mostly girls, saying that they dread coming to the gym but that they do it anyway. I cringe each and every time I hear people say they "have" to come to the gym to train. I think of working out as such a priveledge that I'm healthy enough to be "able" to lift weights and do cardio. Look at how many people out there aren't able to do excersice because of dibilitating illness and or disease or certain physical handicaps. Or even simple injuries we all get. Every second I am working out I'm trying to prevent an injury for fear of not being able to lift, while at the same time these bumblefuks are complaining about how hard it is and how much it hurts, and taking it for granted. (Queefer steps down off the soapbox).

And as we know - there's the mental aspect. You get what you want, set as a goal. We set goals to get stronger and bigger. They set goals to just get in and out of the gym. Guess who's gonna look like they got what they wanted.

QUEEFER.....I FEEL THE SAME WAY.

I AM JUST VERY THANKFUL THAT I AM HEALTHY ENOUGH TO TRAIN! I FEEL BLESSED TO HAVE FOOD AND FREE TIME.

SOME FOLKS DON'T REALIZE HOW GOOD THEY HAVE IT!

I hear ya...

People have no idea what luck they have to be able to have free time to train, and eat. I have tons of buddies that work 12+ hours a day...and they are so drained, all they want to do is sleep.

I see the same thing, but I also say the same thing. The difference between me and the people who feel the gym time is a burden is that I "have" to go to the gym or my day is incomplete and I feel like a pile. It is not that we have to, but we want to. I told my wife today that I couldn't take the dog to the vet because I have to lift. I hate when things disrupt my routine in the afternoon. I find a set routine of times and I hate to deviate from it. My grandpa's mindset has rubbed off on me.

I have never enjoyed doing something as much in my life. I have always been into sports as a member of a team but bodybuilding and getting up onstage is showing what YOU got and what YOU did. Sure, you might have had guidance but no one put the food into your mouth and noone threw the shake down your throat. I take pride in knowing I am in the gym while others are sleeping or being fatasses! I like the feeling of training on occasion at 5:30 a.m. and accomplishing more in 1 hour than most would all day. So, I guess you could say I like to train a little bit:D

it goes outside the gym as well..

I went out Saturday night.. and I think this guy thought he was hitting on me.. he asked me if I go to the gym.. of course I said yes.. he proceded to ask.. Well.. how long do you think you'll do that for?? Like it was a waste of time or something.. man o man, did he lose points for that one!!!

I guess people just dont' understand passion and dedication to bodybuilding.

I work three jobs(too pay for school) and the rest of my time is spent preparing food, or training. A lot of my buddies think I am crazy, but I am livin' the good life, I am fortunate enough to be able to work and train and go to school....I can't take it when I hear guys at the gym complaining--If you don't have the desire or passion to bodybuild--then why in the hell are you wasting your time(Sh*t, just means less people in the gym-just the way I like it-no one to bug me-I can get in and get out)

People used to say:
once you start college you'll quit bodybuilding
once you start working you'll quit BB
once you get married you'll quit BB
once you you have kids you'll quit BB

28 yrs later I'm still waiting to quit....your right they just don't get it!

Yep..

I do have to admit.. I was always active.. and in the gym most of my life.. till a head on collision.. and 3 years later.. I was back with a vengeance.. =))

I had never imagined I could do something like getting on stage in a barely there posing suit.. now I can't imagine life without doing it..

And.. I am a 31 year old single mother, work a part time job, am a massage therapist by appointment only and a full time chiropractic student.. and I still manage to set my day around training.. go figure.. I cant' wait for the day my daughter can compete with me.. she's only 10 right now.. but, that day will come!!!

Stay focused and train with intent!!

|--[\\\\\]>----------- I admit, i am one of those ppl, i HATE working out, epecially on leg days, but once i start warming up, that feeling goes away and it's on. the main reason why i think is b/c the only professional job i've had since i was out of school (22yrs old) was working at a gym. so working 8-9 hours a day, then staying to lift for 1 hour really plays on me. i sit there and say, "fuck, i've been here for 10 hours!"
