Cycle strength and what season

I have always wondered why people run strong cycles during a cutting phase and for some reason they don't save most of it for the off season. I know that you can still gain during a cutting cycle but not to the same tune of an off season calorie saturation. Does anyone else find running over 1gram of Test a bit too much for a cutter? Meaning, cost verses poundage wise.

What's the point of going so heavy, is it only about the protein intake?

I for one have never agreed with a specifc drug or combo of them to bulk or cut. I do not believe in cutting or bulking cycles since cutting or bulking is controlled by diet and training styles. I know guys that can cut up on more than 1g of anything and bulk on less, all in the food and training! And yes it is as simple as that. You have to weigh up the risks involved with high dosing anything. There may be some desired results from large doses, but there are also more unwanted sides associated with higher doses. It all comes at a cost!!
