1/2way into my cycle and I get hurt. 6years and never had a problem. Always warm up, correct form,etc... So, I have 5plates on the T-Bar Row and my wife pulls it up to spot me, I pull the first rep up and as I go down I feel this sharp burny pain in my left rear delt. I finished another 4reps and the pain got a little worse. Stretched it out, rubbed it,etc.. then dropped to 4plates, knocked out 8reps and it still hurt. So I went over to try some other excersises. Any type of rowing movement and the pain gets burny and sharp. Lat pulldowns in front and back feel fine. Pullovers are fine, just nothing that stretches my arm out where I have to row it towards me, which sucks b/c that leaves out most back work.I don't know if its my rear delt or what, but that day and the next it hurt but not bad. Felt like I injected 1/2cc of prop in my rear delt. So, next day did chest and everything was fine. Took the weekend off. No pain,etc.. Today was arms, and all excersies were fine except I did some dumbell kickbacks with the 50's and the pain got really bad and burny again. What did I do? How can I get this to heal as quick as possible? Ice? Heat,etc... Thanks bro's.

What you did was, not the brightest, is to keep training after feeling the pain in the first place. Muscle injury comes at a surprise most of the time, sometimes the next day after the workout. Take time off, cuz if you make it worse, you'll be taking even MORE time off.

Ice it until it goes numb three times a day. Avoid any exercises that cause pain. No more dumbell kickbacks for a while!

....I don't know if its my rear delt or what...What did I do? How can I get this to heal as quick as possible?...

For me it's quite obvious:

1 - You said:"I don't know if its my rear delt or what"

You must identify the EXACT cause of the pain.So go to the doctor and found WHERE is the problem.

2 - You said:"What did I do? How can I get this to heal as quick as possible?"

Follow his advice.(Doctor's advice i mean).

Just my 2 cents...

Welcome To Bodybuilding!

Fourthgen,
First, these guys are right, why did you continue to workout and train back if you felt pain? Did you think you could "stretch it out?" lol. Buddy. If it starts bothering you, and the pain doesn't go away, then you stop and go do cardio or something. Then you don't train back for at least a week, and if the pain is bad enough maybe even two, and you go very light when you get back in and train back again. In the meantime, until it heals, train around the injury and keep training chest, arms, legs, shoulders...anything that won't cause you ANY pain in your lat. You may not be able to do any type of overhead presses though. You'll just have to expirement and see what you can still do.
Good luck and speedy recovery.
