Difficulty training on metformin

Began taking 500mg IR metformin morning/night several days ago to try and get my BG under control, I think it's been hurting my body composition. But I notice my blood sugar drop throughout the day since being on it. I don't think I should be running for glucose but the weakness I feel is affecting my training. Should I save all carbs for PWO or what approach would you guys recommend here?

What are your blood glucose levels??

Honestly if you are at the point of taking 500mg metformin 2x a day because of uncontrolled blood glucose, I would seriously look into doing more cardio and getting your diet in order. Looks are nothing without health my friend. How much insulin are you taking per day?

You think it caused hair growth and now it's effecting your body composition yet you state you have been running it for "several days". It sounds like you are just guessing and all over the place. What is your diet like? My body composition can change dramatically in 1 day depending upon what I eat/drink. Are you eating the same food every single day? I would get extensive blood testing done and I would start tracking everything you eat (with regular BG readings) if you don't already do so.

Well the first days I started taking metformin, I felt really tired during wo and they suffered for maybe a week but I didn't care and kept pushing, added more carbs periworkout and it worked.
Metformin changes completely how your body uses carbs so, the first days your gut is adjusting to it, and it's normal to not feel the usual energy, because your body isn't absorbing carbs that well, but in... Let's say a week you will be fine.

Taking metformin at slow release is useless since metformin works for 36h straight, not to mention taking it twice a day even more useless.... Just take it once a day and before bed.

The dose should fit the carbs you eat.... Usually 100mg Metformin every 100g carbs is perfect.
I doubt that you are currently eating 750-1000g carbs Ed.

You can take up to 3g Metformin per day to curb appetite but this will lead to acid reflux and only baking soda or high dose glutammine can fix it.... I doubt that you are using metformin for that.

You can't say how something works in just 5 days if usage wait at least one month....
