I'm trying to help out a friend. Hes a little then me and has a enlarged prostate. The doctor has him on finasteride. Doing great on his prostate hes telling me the only problem is he has a young girlfriend and he has no libedo due to finasteride making the dht drop. So I told him to get blood work from a private lab. His total test is alittle over 1300 his estrogen is 39 and his dht is 16. Should I tell him to get proviron to help increase his dht? Thank you for any help

My dad has been on it for several years and had the same side effect
the Doctor put him on TRT 100 mg per week and that help him out
But he needed the TRT anyways.

Yeah that's what I'm trying to figure for him. He's on trt but no libedo. So I'm guessing its the finerstide and lack of dht.

0.02 finasteride is close to as as effective as 1 mgs or 5 mgs

it killed my sex drive so Im careful with it and well educated with it

dude better get some cialis , lower the dose or eliminate it, or up test , or do something.

Not for me. He said he tried all of this. Hes 42 and dating a 23 year old lol. Just trying to help a friend out. Actually been telling him to get on here.

DHT is like estrogen you need both.

Everybody has different amounts of receptors and how those receptors respond to the different hormones.

Honestly maybe he should cut back on the dose of finasteride. I've heard horror stories of that shit ruining your libido for life so I wouldn't fuck with it. I like my sex life too much lol

Also pharmacy finasteride is very very strong. Like mentioned above the least amount will help. If you have the more is better attitude this shit will mess you up
