Free Form Aminos vs. Whole Proteins Post Workout?

Free form (BCAAs and Glutamine) or whole proteins (whey powder)? Which do you prefer right after training?
 
Hard boiled eggs for me, I work out at 5AM and find that I look and feel best when starting my day with protein and fats from eggs. Assuming that you take the time to boil them ahead of time, they are also extremely convenient.

You need your ESSENTIAL AMINOS, so why would you take BCAA(and glutamine?) post workout?

IMO, even if you do consume an EAA powder, I feel a whole protein is best. Save your BCAAs / EAAs for intra
 
I load up on powders pre intra post. Glutamine in post.
 
EAA intra. Real food post(animal protein).

Anyone who would just drink bcaa and glutamine post is absolutely clueless in sports nutrition. UNLESS it was for the sole purpose of getting a high enough (and you need to be getting 4-5g worth) leucine content just prior to a whole food animal protein meal.

I have a shake directly after WO = Whey and Dextrose. Then 45 minutes later I have my whole food meal. Sounds like its better to just stick to a complete amino profile directly post WO and supplement BCAA's Intra.
 
Intra-MD during workout, then solid meal 45-60 mins later.
 
EAA's intra, whey isolate about 20 minutes after, whole meal 60 after that.
 
BCAA=intra / Whey & Glutamine =post
 
Whey protein as it tastes awesome with my rice krisbies. Sticky toffee pudding flavour this month:D

I drink BCAA when dieting only, bulking is not needed. intra or post; it will not make a difference.. Phil Heath didn't win the Olympia drinking EEA and BCAA .. bodybuilding isn't that complicated

dont get why people think that dextrose help with any thing other than getting you fat

use 30% Hydrolysis whey protien pre work... whole food after.

Not a dextrose man myself but dextrose post workout will not get you fat, unless you train like a complete pussy or have Absulutly hopeless genetics. Half a box of rice krisbies with whey and 20iu humalog doesnt hold meet back cutting or as fat when im growing so a little dextrose will not add fat
