how effective is weight gain with high protein diets ,like 1.5 to 2 gram per pound bodyweight with low carbs

ya that's what I was thinking to ,read some non pro muscle articles on how it causes weight gain bla bla bla ,I mean we all know low carbs, staple in cutting diets for a reason, it works, but lets say tenny your exceeding your caloric intake with high protein, high fats ,low carbs, then what, see never tried anything but high carbs for weight gain, it works ,but gain lots of fat from it, me anyway

So here I am I'm the resident high protein low carb guy and I can tell you it's absolutely not the best way to put on any serious mass

protein can not only help you build muscle, but also weight gain:)

Please don't spread that absurd nonsense, protein doesn't cause weight gain, eating too many calories does

I'm sure you could figure out how to do it. I guarantee you'd gain weight on 1.5-2g protein/pound, low carb, and 200g fat. And if not that, then make it 400g fat... Just from getting tons of calories from fat.

But why isn't the question about whats the optimal for putting on muscle (forget weight). If you're trying to get leaner then forget putting on muscle. If you're trying to put on muscle without gaining excessive body fat, you can accomplish this while still having carbs, and not crazy low.
