Know your body and don’t fight against it. I’m a very small-framed person. My waist is 28 inches right now, and I’m not THAT lean, probably around 10%, so it gets even smaller. Someone with my kind of frame is usually not designed to be hoisting around really heavy weights in low rep ranges (someone like David Laid is an exception). I somewhat did it for years, and by around age 30 pretty much everything in my body was aching and I had so many cumulative injuries. Usually people like me train for extreme time under tension with light weights, or very extreme endurance weight workouts, fatigue training etc. .... that wasn’t cool to me, I wanted to be throwing around big weights, so I chose to go against my body and I paid for it. Don’t be like me.
