Time and Time again i read threads here and on other boards talking about the new secreet of huge muscles or getting ripped. Try the new super protien with extra yak piss. Or try this new ultra thermogenic fat annhilator, guaranteed twice as effective as the actual sun itself.

Theres great products out there. theres 2 companies i personally use for WPI, i mean real good pure stuff, and creatine and glutamine. Lba's are a fantactic product, but not magic, like the claims of some other supplements.

ask Phil, Dante, Big A, Magnum, Shelby, and the like. you know how you get big and ripped? you think. yup thats it. you think. you ask yourself Does doing this make any sense?

Does doing 1 arm dumbell curls while facing magnetic north and stanging only on your opposite leg make any sence? it goddamn doesnt. you know what does? Pick up a heavy dumbell and curl it until your arm falls off. then next week use a heavier one.

Does calculating 1.23916872 grams of protien per lb of bodyweight make any sence? no it doesnt. eating 50 grams of protien, 40 grams of carbs, ans 15 grams of fat per meal does.

Adding creatine glutamine, WPI, vitamens, healthy fats to you diet are great for reaching your goals. The new super slow release, estrogen enhancing/blocking(it does whatever you want it to), super blue whale testosterone boosting protien matrix is a money wasting marketing gimic.

Ask Phil, Big A and Dante, What is on the product lists of Synthetek, and TP? its all simple shit isnt it? The biggest leanest guys on this board and over at IM all use the simplest shit. what does that tell you? It says your overcomplicating it looking for a shortcut instead of putting in the work and consistancy in the gym and at the table to accomplish anything.


Here is your secrete to getting gigantic, strong, and lean.

Lift balls ass heavy, eat an amount of healthy food that would frighten any normal man, and play with macros and cardio to keep bodyfat at an optimal level for your goals. supplement intelligently, Ask yourself before you do an new exercise, buy a new product, Does this make any sence? and if you cant figure it out on your own, go to someone who knows. PM Phil, shelby, Magnum, Dante. and just ask...is this any good?

Ask the guys who have proven they know. otherwise your just spinning your tires fellas.


The guys who i listened to, and took advice from put 50 lbs on my frame, and that was after a good 6 years of consistant training. they realy knew how to get it done.

So you're telling me that I can't buy a protein powder that will add 12lbs of muscle and drop my bf 5% without going to the gym? WTF, the guys at GNC told me I could go to the gym maybe 1-2x a week and get awesome results with it... HAHAHA LMFAO

When I was young, we got big on raw eggs, brewer's yeast, and dessicated liver tabs. I remember when we were all choking down soy protein because it was "the latest thing." There have been relatively few useful supplements to come along over the years. Few, at least, compared to the number of junk products. Anybody out there ever do any Smilax officinalis? HMB?, Boron? Vanadyl? You don't hear about these anymore because people drifted away from them and went on to the next pile of well packaged junk.

Keep it simple. I've heard people argue about whether dextrose was "crucial" for PWO recovery. I hate to break it to ya, but scooting a carbon atom or two around on a sugar molecule won't make the difference between big and small. Consistent hard work, proper nutrition and recovery will.

Im using liver powder and love it.. Several tablespoons per day between meals.. Liver, gram per gram, contains more nutrients than any other food..

MnB, gee you just showed how old you are...hahaha :D I remember all of that back in the days when there were no machines to workout, just free weights and the only cardio machine was a real bicycle or a run in the park.
 
great rant. I love how you describe stuff I saw in the gym on a daily basis (the 1 arm curl facing north stuff for example). :D
 
Surprised you didn't mention whale piss. It's all the rage now among pro bodybuilders for getting jacked.

I remember those supps like Boron, Smilax, Yohimbe, Vanadyl... Tried them all and got nowhere! Tried the basics and gained more in 2 months than in 2 years with the junk supplements. I am still learning but have realized that if you are great in marketing, you will probably end up in the supplement business!

It's pretty expensive. Hard to collect in its undiluted form... Gotta find a whale, get it to drink 100 kegs of beer, then convince it to roll onto its back so it can pee into the air, then catch it.....

Yep. The first gym I trained at, (this was in '68) we had DB's like the old circus strongmen. A handle with 2 round lumps of iron on either end. Bars, assorted plates, and a home made vertical leg press. Then came the Roman Health Spa. It looked like a trailer park version of Ceaser's Palace with cheap statues and a water fountain up front. They actually had a rack for DB's that had numbers on them to tell how much they weighed, and a seated cable row machine.
 
Years of gutbusting hard work and dedication are what will give results but that's not what people want to hear. I always get asked how long I've been training, and when I tell people they often look a little deflated. They want the "secret". It has been said many times here...There is no secret. And I love it! I love the lifestyle of training and eating good food, so I'm glad it takes a while. I wouldn't want to be doing anything else. In anything in life that you want to be succesful at, you gotta love it.
