reading the ester weight in the thread that xcelbeyond wrote it said that the average weight for the ester was about 65 say in sustanon 250 so if i want to do 1gram of test while on sus i would have to do like 6 shots pretty much, is this right? i usally do enathe or cyp i do about a gram a week, but the esters weigh abit less in those. the only reason i am evening doing sus is cause i have tonnes of it, or i would just do a single ester, i will front load abit of cyp (cause i also have that on hand to) with the sus slowly tapering down so i dont have to wait a month for it to hit my system.

Its true that when you inject 1000mgs of sustanon 250 your really only getting about 850 or so grams of actual test becuase xcel is correct the ester weight is added onto the total overall milligram weight. So if you wanted to get exactly 1000mgs then yes you would need to inject another 250mgs to get pretty close to it, but why do it when 850mgs is roughly 12x more than what your body produces naturally in one week. If you want to get techincal then yes but hell, 1000mgs of sustanon for me is (4) 250mg injections per week. That exra injection isn't going to make or break your physique. Just my 2cc's.

yah it wont make that big of a difference, i was just reading the ester weights now and it seemed that all the esters in sus are considerably heavier then say enathe. i dont normally ever do sus so i wanted to know if it would make a difference

Mav's explanation is very good. I don't have a chart that shows "all" the esters and how much weight they actually are.

If I had the:
1) exact breakdown of sus - mg/ml of what type of ester
2) the weight of ester (which I probably don't have)
I could do a weighted average to calculate "actual" amount of test - but I feel Mav's seat of the pants is probably close enough.
