I always pay attention to lab work. Nothing is ever really bad but it it were I would simply come off. The one thing I have issues with are my cholesterol markers so I make the right adjustments. Although I need to stay off orals all year and not just a few months if I want my HDL to climb high. But with dietary adjustments, added cardio and certain supplements I managed to signficantly improve things. Most people just don't get blood work so they never know and that's why they have issues. I would like to think anyone who got bloodwork (especially if they went out of their way and paid for it) and something was way off would take steps to improve it. If they didn't try to improve things they are an idiot and just asking for trouble.
Can i ask what you take for it on supplements?
I have good ldl but hdl is in lower range
Do you take 3 or 6 caps a day from the needs cv stackThe first time I basically added in an array of supps just to get a quick fix and then I lowered things down to a more basic stack over time. I recall adding in NOW Foods Cholesterol Pro and Sytrinol. They contain ingredients such as Citrus Bergamot, Plant Sterols, Sytrinol and Policosanol. Those 4 ingredients are effective in improving cholesterol (increasing hdl and lowering ldl and triglycerides). On top of that I also added pantethine, krill/fish oil and garlic.
Right now now I use Supplement Needs Heart Stack which contains citrus bermamot, pantethine, evnol, allicin etc etc. If someone wanted to improve cholesterol with a simple yet effective stack I would recommend this plus some quality fish oil. If they couldn't get the first product then I would personally go with NOW Foods cholesterol pro, fish oil and garlic/allicin. Another simple thing for increasing HDL would be to add a high quality extra virgin olive oil to some of your meals. It should go without stating some added cardio and avoiding any oral aas are advisable.
