people always ask me when I am training them or just advising them how much muscle will I put on?? I always tell them that if they train real hard, be real dedicated and eat right they can put on 5 lbs of real muscle in just a few weeks. Doesn't sound like much, right? Well I got to thinking, how much is five pounds of pure muscle? Imagine that huge tasty 16 oz steak sitting ther ready to cook up. 16 ounces!!! That big ol steak is 1 Lb of pure muscle. Now imagine taking 5 of those enormous 16 ounce cuts and slapping them on your shoulders, chest?? Voiala!! 5 Lbs of pure muscle. Kinda gross, but at least I can picture it !!

Maybe if it's your first cycle and you're ON a cycle. But if you're training naturally and you're a regular joe, depending if you're just starting out or not, 5lbs of ACTUAL muscle in a few weeks would be......hard to measure in the first place. :D Too many variables.
 
Five pounds in a few weeks? Natural or enhanced? I think 1-2 pounds of pure muscle a year is good.

For everyone else here on planet EARTH, 5 lbs of muscle in a few weeks would be absolutely incredible. Unbelievable even.

I will chime in to say this.......to add 5lbs of pure muscle, we're talking pure unadulterated muscle, no fat, no water.......takes a lot longer than a couple,few weeks. Period. I do not care how much GH,Slin,AAS you are using. The body can only add lean mass at a certain metabolic rate. This means you must have the absolute perfect anabolic environment happening inside you for a long period of time.......no slip ups in timing absolute perfection. If you have that then you would not be on here seeking advice, you would be the king of the world of medical science and a fucking billionare!!!

Depends.. How advanced an athlete are we talkin about? Somebody who is already 200lbs lean, then not a chance, somebody who has done nothing for 5 years straight, then sure. (assuming everybody is natural here)
 
Ah... Forgot to answer the question.

5 pounds of muscle is around 2.272727272 kilograms of muscle.
 
Take a steak that weights 5lbs, then dry is down to a BEEF JERKY, put some pepper on it, and then WEIGH IT. Then you will know how much 5lbs of muscle weighs. :D
 
Five pounds in a few weeks unrealistic? Depends, IMO, what a few weeks is. Are we talking 3-4 weeks? If you consider 8-12 weeks a "few" then obviously not.

In my experience, it all depends on proper nutrition, supplements (natural and "enhanced"), intensity, and rest. If one of the 4 are lacking then to properly make adjustments for any of the 4 can result in explosive growth. If all of the four are maximized then the only real way to increase growth beyond the norm would be intensity and appropriate rest.

So what does it boil down to? Yes, it is possible but not easy. Of course genetics come into play and maximizing your genetic potential varies on the individual.

5 lbs in a few weeks? Definitely possible. For the average half hazard lifter? Probably not. At least not without the proper guidance.

In few good weeks is totaly possible, don't forget that many traininewbies have uncredible results in a short time. Or others on their first cycle too, if they are realy dedicated. I think six weeks is not impossible.
 
thats it im going to get surgery and have some real muscle from corps stiched over mine :rolleyes:
 
Post-show rebound will put on some muscle lickety-split.
