With all the talk regarding HRT and cycling in general It crazy to go to my parents house today for lunch and to look on the counter and see a box of "Testim" cream. Right away i asked my father what this was and he said he's been on the cream for a few months now!

It's just a shock becuase i read about this stuff on the board al the time and primiarly with guys who lift weights and to see my dad on it was pretty cool. He has been using the 1% version and said he hasn't seen to much of an increase based on blood work. He is still in the lower range. I have asked him to go with injectiable version instead and he will see an immediate improvement based on what i hear everyone on the board.

The 1% says it has 50mg of Test per tube and it's used daily, but i can't imagine that you get much of that 50mg when using the cream?


I ended our convo by saying if you ever want to stop using it by all means pass it my way lol

wow that is scary! I just found it pretty cool that he was doing this, and looking into some of the symptoms he was having which brought the low test levels to his doctors attention. At least i have a doctor now i know i can go talk to if/when I ever need too.

I believe he said his nubmers were still in the low/mid 300s? Not exactly sure.

you will stop producing when you supplement testosterone to or above your natural level... example: natural test level is 250. if you supplement enough exogenous test to get your levels to 300 your natural production will shutdown.

another note, testosterone inunctions raise estrogen more than parenteral route. this is one of the reasons doctors will switch a patient to injection.

Was the gyno something you noticed by the appearance of the lumps, or did your nipples actually get sore and hurt like the typical signs of gyno? Only reason i ask is my dad isn't the leanest guy and has some fat in his chest alerady, so i want to be able to let him know what to look for..

it was pain,very sensitive ,just my shirt rubbing would irritate it.
then small lumps develop.
it was a mjaor pain to deal with,and my doctor wouldnt address the gyno other then dropping the testim.
she wouldnt prescribe tamoxifan,arimidex or anything which was a problem.
i have since switched to injectable and added an anti estrogen.
