I am pretty sure i came up with a great idea today for a product to market to strength athletes bb'ers ect... but i dont know where to go from my idea, any bros have any input or means to help along...

not trying to spam or anything like that I just think i have a good idea and need some direction in getting it off of the ground...

Hire a manufacturer. Market it yourself using direct response. Get a patent if applicable.

Just some general thoughts...

First thing, before you start dumping time and money into your new egg, do a patent review. Hire somebody if you don't have access/knowledge. Nothing is more frustrating than putting yourself into something only to find out you've re-invented the wheel and you're not legally allowed to roll it. Second, outsource and/or delegate work you can't do yourself. Embrace delegation, it will keep you sane (trust me) and it will keep you moving forward. I've seen promising ideas churn and churn, eventually getting nowhere, simply because the creator/inventor wanted to keep such a death grip on the development cycle. I don't know a single person that didn't fall victim to this their first time out. And finally, you're guiding light should always be bringing your idea to market. Everything you do should be towards delivering a product as cheaply and quickly as possible.

I'm always happy to see people take on the entrepreneurial spirit; there is nothing more fulfilling (and lucrative). Good luck with your idea, I hope it works out.

whatever you do, stay away from Davidson.co. those fuckers scammed alot of people and went through lawsuit and now they're paying out compenstion checks which are fractions of what people spent on them trying to market their idea.

BTW, before you talk seriously with people, have each person or firm sign an NDA (non-disclosure agreement). Yes, there are ways around them, and if a company has a lot of money they can screw you over anyway figuring you don't have enough money to take them through all the legal hoops to win your case, but at least having one helps makes stealing your idea a little more difficult.

its surely not something that will change the world of weightlifting as we know it but i could really see it making an impact, i did a search to see if there were and comparable products...and the name i thought up is already in use i dont think that i found anything similar

You need to talk to someone of integrity and knows all about this sort of thing. Like I said, if you think it's truly worthy, run it by Big A as you can trust him and if it's worth it, he'll help.
