When I was younger I was able to eat enough food to bulk but now I’m having a hard time eating enough to make progress.

Just wanted to pop in to say that I’ve been to Westside, and the environment was comparable to a maximum security prison yard lol. There wasn’t any dudes being super positive and cheerful and slapping each other on the back hyping each other up. And no kids sitting on laps 😂

You don't even need to have been at Westside to know this - just watch the documentary Westside vs. The World and you'll see it was absolutely not a cheerful, help--your-brother-out place. If anything they were trying to break each other and run them out of the gym.

I actually just finished watching the documentary 30 mins ago after remembering this thread.

I have to say--it's a great watch. Highly reccomend it to anyone that hasnt seen it. Makes me want to join a more hard-core gym (not Westside level of hardcore, but one with a similar level of intensity applied to the training. Going to a commercial gym after watching that is going to suck ass

Growing up in Ohio we had a bunch of these gyms around. I would honestly say these environments helped raise me, being an inner city kid with a chip on my shoulder, and helped me stay out of trouble. There were some dangerous dudes who worked out at these gyms. Lots of them are dead and in prison now

Unfortunately I visited home for the first time in 10 years earlier this year, and visited some of the old gyms. The scenery is the same, but all the characters are gone. Tripods and influencers everywhere just like every other bodybuilding gym.

Once powerlifting got popular on social media these kind of gyms started to die. Multi-ply was on its way out, so the need for crews was gone. Most of the guys I knew back then started powerlifting in prison because they held competitions there back then, and continued when they got out. Bodybuilding too attracted a lot of seedy characters. Everything changed completely with social media popularizing all of these sports the past 10 years

The days of guys shooting meth and test suspension in the warmup room at meets and getting into fights is over 😂

I spent a few years powerlifting before getting into bodybuilding. I wasn't real strict with training (ME, DE, percentages, etc.) but I absolutely knew what Westside was and those guys motivated me. Anybody who's into any kind of lifting should watch Westside vs. The World just to learn the history and their impact - I've watched it three times.

Yeah its one of the best documentaries I've watched in a while.

Even those that don't powerlift would enjoy it. There's something about that hardcore mentality that most bodybuilders would enjoy and even potentially relate to as well.

@st114 agree i think social media for the most part ruined a lot of the hardcore gyms. Loui even talked about in the documentary that in their earlier days they'd fight each other than do their bench set, and he finds it harder to relate to the newer generation because he can't put his hands on them or get in their face or talk shit (jokingly or unjokingly). Kind of kills the hardcore atmosphere a lot when you have to worry about walking on eggshells or people with cameras perhaps taking situations out of context. Some hardcore gyms still exists that don't allow cameras/phones/recording but it's much more rare, and still probably isn't the same as it used to be
 
@ScoobyPrep how high do you run the SLUPP? I'm seing folks now going waaaaay over the 250mcg 2-3x daily dosage. A bit confusing as the info on it is quite new...
 
need to super charge digestion first and foremost
Every morning 1tbsp ACV, 5 oz aloe vera juice lily of the desert on amazon, 10g glutamine, real lemon juice and some stevia chug that down before you start your day.

Then every meal beta plus has pancreatic and bile both needed to move food
add 2-3 betain hcl harbaach brand on amazon is cheap and works

add in some SLU PP332 to get appetite revved
add some GTA FORTE to support thyroid

Finally if you need you can use the old ghrp 6 but go lightly not much is needed maybe 50mcg could be enough.
just some thoughts here but def do the first 2 things and see if it helps

Then ofc use carbs that are dense for their intake. Honey is easy to add to cream of rice etc. Jelly is easy to add to gluten free bagels. Cereals like chex digest fast and easy

Get enough fiber to go but make sure youre not getting 70 grams which is easy to do at 500 plus carbs with oats etc.

use a lot of fruit thought it does have fiber it moves through easy

fish as protein easy to digest along with eggs.

I'm sure glad I was not in your gym back then. My Dad was a world champion powerlifter trained at Westside barbell I'm Columbus Ohio. They were the best lifters in the world. I NEVER saw anyone treated that way

A heavy single but other than that everybody was cool. I was treated like gold myself. I remember sitting in Louie's lap all the time as a child. Those guys treated each other wonderful. Never saw a fight there not once. Yes those guys were monsters but fine people. Gentle giant's

I'm 42 and was there myself (still in columbus). I was referencing forums now WBB...I was also somewhat joking but forums were brutal back then if there were threads like this asking silly questions. As far as WBB...I saw it quite mixed. Some great guys, some drug addict a-holes with <80 IQ's. It was always like the island of misfit toys...I guess like a lot of gyms. The dumb guys often acted retarded...is what it is.

But you realize the OP is either a troll or asking a question that isn't even beginner level. It's like 14 year old boy level and everyone was quite polite overall to start.

One of the most fascinating things I have found using SLU is that it revs my appetite as you said. But I didn’t once have the hunger pains while cutting using it in that phase.

For anyone who doesn’t know what real hunger pains feel like- try some real third party tested Mk2677 in pill form. 12.5mg of the legit stuff will make you consider eating your arm. LOL
I started running Slu-PPP-332,3 days ago and I'm also noticing my appetite is up. Funny thing is yesterday I went around 1500 more calories from my maintenance intake (most carbs) however this morning I was 1lb down never had this happened before lol

Maybe he did, maybe he got his life back together and stopped using every drug under the sun in between his life or death multiple surgeries and isn't confined to a wheelchair anymore. I hope he did but from the stuff he says around here I doubt it....

The threads asking for sympathy saying he was going to die then never updating anyone just going back to business as usual after we all supported him is what rubs me the wrong way. There are guys around here who actually died and nobody had a chance to say anything.
 
I’m force feeding myself to get calories in and my workouts are very intense and been lifting for 33 years.its just the last few years , my body changed.
I do eat a lot every 2 hours even throughout the night.i just thought there was something I can do to increase my appetite.
What are you eating every 2 hours? by eating every 2 hour complete meals will not increase your appetite.
 
Yogurt, nut butter, whey, fruit and a healthier granola. You can get a bowl of this up to 800 calories np

Have a shake in the middle of the night

Add a bunch of whole eggs to your diet

Sub out chicken for beef
Beef take 6 hour to be digested.

Gonna have to disagree with you here. It depends on the person. I digest beef dramatically quicker than chicken and get hungrier much sooner.
