in one of gavin kanes articles he suggests 3iu humulin r with each meal could this be done with humalog? im having a hard time getting hold of humulin r

im in the UK its not OTC over here, i can only find people carrying humalog
Too long acting. Only R and Log for our purposes. N will make you fat.

3iu may be a little much, I dont know your insulin history. And I certainly would use any slin before bedtime. Maybe try using 1iu Hum-R for the first 3-5 meals. If you workout late at night, try using 1-3iu's Hum-R each meal, then 2-5iu humalog pwo intramusculary so that its out before bedtime.
1st time using it. i like the 1iu with each meal idea. no log on hand though, so would 1iu with 5 meals be ok and none with meal 6?
1iu to start with, possibly bumping it up as the weeks go on. You always want to assess ones tolerance of a new substance. When would you be eating the 5th meal, and would it be before your workout?
well i am thinking that 1iu with each meal would overlap each other, i am just going to get log and take 1iu after my workout then go up 1iu each workout and stay at 5 ius for a few weeks, then next time go up to 10ius
Overlapping Humulin R isnt that big of a deal, especially at 1iu every meal. So over lapping an iu with another iu would be harmless. How will you be running the log? IM or Subq?
