I found these old pics of me from 6 years ago and thought i would share.

I weigh 195lbs in the fat pictures and 160 in the others.

AHAHAHAHAHA of course you know Alex, you are touching a nerve here. SO many get preoccupied with weight and then screw up a diet because they are not weighing as much as they would like. Your pictures should dispell this myth of the scale for some, but for too many they will not listen nor will they learn. it is all about how you look not what the scale says!!!!

thanks for taking the time to post. You said it ! I just wanted to make the point that sometimes less is better. I know people usually want to weigh more. I weigh less now than i did 20 years ago and look ten times better.
 
I guess sometimes I get preoccupied with the scale, but being leaner, will make you look alot bigger. I have a funny feeling, when you do my prep I am not going to have a choice.:D

Those pictures are like night and day, I showed my wife and she was just as amazed as me. There is no secret for that physique, alot of hard work and dedication, Excellant job!
 
yeah some people get caught up with weight, when its really about bf% and lean body mass

im guilty of the scale thing too.. i try to limit how often i get on it i tend to get pissed off and stop eating if it says something i dont like lol
 
You looked like Mr. Clean in photo on the left! Hey do you smell pine sol fresh.. J/k you look great at the lower weight!
 
But, Mr Clean was in great shape, no? anyways.. funny thing was i was trying to break the 200lb barrier..my eating habits were so bad.. just look

Dude, Doughnuts are a member of the 4 food groups. Have you ever watched Elf! Candy,Candy Corn, Chipmunks & least of all but not last, tubs of BUTTER,with a Pine Cone on the side of course!

Im 5'4", The last time i ate a doughnut was 6 years ago, Krispy Kreme opened a store near us, i had to try it:rolleyes:

But my question to you is this...For the majority of people and definatly myself, if i was to lean down and get peeled i would definatly be in better shape as far as my bodfyat goes, but i would also look very lanky which is my biggest fear. You definatly have to a good amount of muscle on your frame to acheive anyting remotely close to the look you have presented in your pics..shit i would take 1/4 of the muscle you have lol.

I just know in the past i have attempted to lean down and everyone i know would ask the same question over and over..." what happened bro? You stopped lifting?" Only becuase i looked so much smaller.

That is a very hard thing to get over mentally...i am leaning down now and will not stop till i get in the single digits and i plan to stay that way...but it is hard at times to get over.

I started my first cycle so this should help

i bet if you had your shirt off people would not question wether you worked out or not.. Just a guess that they would know. I do hear what your sayin. but it all depends on how you want to look. For me, I rather look good with my clothes off then on, but thats just me.

Yes, i totally agree with you and this is why i have decided to make this a goal and NEVER let myself get as high in bodfyat as i did in the past for the sake of saying i Weigh xxx pounds, just to fill in a shirt and look "thick", when really with my shirt off i looked like i DID NOT WORK OUT.

I am totally on the same page with you, I just think a lot of guys out there in the 210-220 weight range don't really realize they are really 180lbs when they lean down...Its a humbling experience in a way.
