People actually see different effects pharma brands of the same stuff. This is probably my favorite topic, what the causes could be. Seems everyone has their favorite brand of certain drugs. The docs will say "there shouldn't be a difference," buy ime they don't definitively rule out differences at all. Sometimes it's claimed as probable placebo but there might be other explanations.

We have here on this forum 'experts' who will say their guru requires them to switch to Geno pens during prep or a "pharma brand" or nothing at all. Yes often it's probably the guru himself profiting from the sale but experienced guys really are claiming big differences. Compton said this, but a bunch of others say the opposite. Personally I'm not sure but it's an interesting topic to me.

i think those are the biggest. at some point you might run into shitty product vs good product and some other minor details but in the end get good product and you will get good results, doesnt matter brand name or not.

Trust me, I have money, but Geno’s are extremely expensive and hard to get currently. I’m pushing on everyone I know to give me a solid answer. lol

Maybe one of the smarter minds on here can chime in or @janoshik has an analysis on the breakdown.

Expensive? What is considered expensive? 2x the cost of a 100iu kit? Perhaps…. But still attainable from a place or 2…

$200 for a 32iu Geno pen- $50 per day at 8iu daily

$90 for a 150iu TP kit- $4.80 per day at 8iu per day.

If I am missing a sponsor who has Geno’s for less send me a DM. Many aren’t able to get it now due to Pfizer pushing NGENLA.

As someone who has money, $50 per day is stupid money for a few less pounds of water IMO. Lol

What is your opinion on using something like 12.5mg of HCTZ on high doses of GH to offset some gh water?

This is what I do. 12.5-25mg depending on what’s needed. Works well.

Why not use something more standard like HCTZ?

I have HTCZ on hand and it works well when needed. I just wanted to see for myself if mannitol would work to decrease the water retention.

I do believe the eventual plan is for Pfizer to completely drop Genos.

NGENLA just isn’t somatropin from what I can gather and understand. It’s mechanism of how it works risk losing some of the benefits that Somatropin offers including potentially lower IGF response.

With that said- they make it for kids who need it to grow. No kid wants to inject everyday so as a business move it makes sense to make a once weekly product for their market, but clinically it’s not apples to apples from what I’ve seen.

Someone with more knowledge on it can come here and prove me wrong as it’s still new to me. @Type-IIx did a recent podcast where he touched on it. Maybe he can weigh in with his thoughts on it for bodybuilding.

If only Pfizer made the pen for bodybuilders. LOL

I get a lot of water retention from GH, and I started doing this a few weeks ago, as well. I feel much better, RHR and BP are down, and my ankles are sharp every day.

I was a little concerned about using a diuretic regularly, but I figure - This is very commonly compounded with Telmisartan, and it's a far weaker and more sustainable med than the harsher diuretics sometimes used for shows.

Agreed it’s definitely not exactly the same. It seems though, when price spent is equated with Genos or serostim etc. the results are roughly the same (according to @ChaseIrons, I have not used it myself)

I use 12.5 hctz for that purpose. I'm on 12.5mg for blood pressure anyway. If I don't ramp hgh slowly I hacks my BP via water retention so in that scenario I add an additional 12.5 until things normalize and I acclimate. Then go back to 12.5.

25mg, but I'm getting back to 300 lbs. and I am waaay on the watery side. I'm guessing I'll need to knock it back next time I prep.

Yep. People that think taking a mild diuretic would somehow be unhealthier than walking around with edema, higher BP, and higher RHR just have no clue on how diuretics are actually used in a medical setting and have only viewed/heard about diuretic use through the lenses of in a bodybuild peaking context.

And I’m pretty sure @luki7788 has used one for years, for anyone that’s afraid it’ll make them flat or destroy their ability to train there’s your proof it surely won’t lol.

Yea, @luki7788 and @TeaMan and a few others talking about their use is one of the things that prompted me to try it. That, and my coach thought it was a reasonable thing to try and mentioned he'd used one for a short stint when he was at his biggest. He cautioned that it might make me more susceptible to muscle tears, but I haven't felt any more brittle on it.

I think the fears of going flat or not being able to train come from a place of having only used diuretics at the time when, from a medical standpoint, it makes the least sense to use them- when you're ultra lean and already dry, lol. Totally different context.
