I switched gyms today and joined a new club. It was great, the free weight section was alot bigger, and there was more cardio. The best part is the change of scenery, and all these new beautiful women. I goto the gym to workout, but during my water breaks or bewteen sets why not look alittle. Plus at a new gym no one knows you or bothers you every set for advice, spots etc. It can get annoying when you are in the zone. Just an idea for anyone lagging in the gym. Switch it up, it might be just what you needed.

Sometimes I'd like to switch gyms because it seems like most of the people are there to hang out and pick up chicks. Last week I actually saw a guy helping a girl workout legs and she was wearing jeans. To see her in the squat rack was pretty ugly. I wanted to tell her to get the phuck out of the gym because she looked ridiculous.

Anyway, sorry for the rant. I usually wear headphones while working out just so people won't make small talk or bother me. But it seems like it makes them want to talk more. It's like they go out of their way to talk to you.

I have the same problem, But about three months ago, I got a free membership through a friend at the local golds gym and I already have a free one with 24hr fitness sport. so we like to bounce around every week and see new things. it helps alot to change things up every one in a while.
good luck and be safe....

You're still in the process of opening "your own" gym, aren't you?

My gym...

membership is paid for by our firm and so I go for free (it's about $70/month I believe if you join yourself! Ouch! ). It's a "sports club" not just a gym... It's very clean, and at times they keep it like an ice box so it's hard to work up a sweat and get a good pump going. Also, during the day, the only people in there are 50+ housewives so not too many hotties to look at. Oddly, I sometimes miss the piss-poor gym I went to when I was in grad school. It was shitty little place, dirty with rusty weight plates, and a few broken/semi-broken cable machines -- oh, but the pumps and sweat... nothing like clanging around heavy weights in an iron dungeon. :D

I gotta find somewhere more hardcore...

yes

Im opening in sept. Im going to be under a powerhouse license. Im not rich, my parents are, my area the average house is like 500,000$, lots of sports cars, hummers and shit. So were are doing a golf center, an amazing weight lifting, cardio deal, a juice bar, a day spa, and just an upscale club. Deffinetly not a bodybuilding gym. Dumbells are going to end at 100, or 120.

I would love to invite anyone here to train there with me once i open the doors, if u come to the DC, MD, VA area please let me know, and we can have some fun, maybe I will hook u up with a sport massage. Im not going to be giving u the massage.

Gym motto......

If Im told "NO CHALK", then I WALK!!!!!

I hate these fucking places with no chalk allowed, its total bullshit.Changing gyms is a good idea once in awhile it keeps your head clear, and adds new drive to your workouts.

Vitor, from a business outlook your doing the smartest thing(the whole fitness/golf etc. thing),but my bodybuilding blood, says Im staying away.Unless of course the massage is by some really hot broad, then when Im in the area Im coming in,hehe.....

Vitor good luck with your gym, I'm a happy Powerhouse member and around here it is the bodybuilders gym, probably the best BB gym in the area(and the one with the most chicks too). I'm trying to open up a health food restaurant myself, got a while to go but it's an inspiration seeing other young people doing what you are doing with your gym.
