last week before contest training, need imput

Just wanting to know what you guys do for training in the last week? Planning on training up till weds, what you guys do circuit training or what kind of routine?
 
this if my first time here/posting

zero cardio.....

train sun, mon , and tues before the contest........

personally carb loading and depleating works well for me.....I train with lower weight and double "your normal reps, double your working sets........on depletions days (to coax the body into producing glycogen formins enymes, and to lower glycogen stores..I read it on Flex LOL, but it's kind of what works for me......:cool: ........carb load wed, thurs ,and fri (zero training)

Good advice

I think that's pretty god advice.

I always used Dan DuCheine's Ultimate Diet, so I'd be depleting on Sun, Mon, Tues, Wed, start eating/loading Wed, Thurs, then cut back on Friday as you alwys seem to get a bit of water spill-over into the skin.

I cut sodium after Thursday breakfast, so for the last 48 hours prior to pre-judging. I'd also watch the water intake on Friday, and just replace what I peed out.

Worked pretty well as long as I didn't play around with prescription potassium (which, for me, was a mistake!)
 
Sun, monday Tuesday I just workout just like I was getting ready to go on stage..just enough to get pumps in the muscles and blood flowing..I dont any reason for anything more..
 
Thanks guys thats about what i was gonna do but, when do you start taking your diruetics that week

I havent done diruetics for a show yet, but I will this year...If you are 3 weeks out though I would maybe play around with them a little bit ahead of time..see how your body is reacting...Thats what I plan on doing..what diruetics are you gonna be using..I would like some info on this also so I am gonna leach off your thread...;)

Well im a week out from the State........I had a photo shoot today and if they except it will be in flex and some other magazines!! They didnt care but i can tell by pics i'm still holding water so i have lasix and aldactone. just dont know when to start them im still high on sodium though.

Oh a week out..not much time for playing around then huh..The advice I was given before was to take lasix starting friday evening then that night then early saturday morning..I never tried it but that is the only info i know of...I am sure other guys on here will be able to help more..

Aldactone could effcet your carb up, since you still have hige levles of sodium in your diet, I would not use the Aldactone. Drop your sodium Thursday for a Saturday show. Use the lasix 1 hour before you cut your water the night before the show, then use 1/2 doses when needed.
