Legit GH Script...Insurance won't pay...here's what I'm doing

Long story short...(which some of you may know). I have a prescription from my Endo for Humatrope for 100% GH defficiency due to non functioning pituitary gland. Regence denied my claim. I was contacted by a company by the name of Humatrope Reimbursement Center, a company created by Eli Lilly for the specific reason of claim denial. What they do is:

1. Appeal your claim using a team of nurses, if this is not successful

2. Investigate sources of alternative funding such as charitable organizations, if thats not successful

3. They have a program called ACCESS which is a Lilly sponsored patient assistance program.

Also while they are conducting this process for you they offer to begin treatment at thier cost for up to 3 months!! I started on 2IU's of Humatrope yesterday and am not paying one dime.

wow. its crazy how you have a legit health issue and you're ins co (whose sole reason for existance is to look after your health) wont pay. crazy!

glad to see the pharma co's are setting things up to help peeps out (although i dont always agree w/ all of their biz/political ethics).

one of the reason they probably dont want to pay is because of the HIGH Cost.

When I was researching scripts for Serono GH, the absolute minimum I could find was $1500 per month (little over $12 per iu). This was the low end, calling around to 8 or so local pharmacies the high end was around $3500 per month!!


Now who is screwing who here?

• is the manufacturer screwing the pharmacy by overinflating prices?
  
• is the pharmacy screwing the insurance company by charging a minimum of $10 per iu?
  
• or is the insurance company screwing you when they make you pay the 20% deductible every month? ($300 - $600+)

OR ARE THEY ALL JUST SCREWING YOU!? because you can get it (hypothetically of course) blackmarket for $1 per iu in quantity?

I agree 100% we are all getting screwed by big business! If the Eli Lilly plan doesn't workout I will investigate other options to fill my script! This is something I need and if I have a script...well maybe thats a gray area someone with more knowledge could chime in on and give some advice. I will keep you updated regarding the appeals process.

The manufacturer is screwing the buyers. If you look at some of the sources that sell to pharmacies or whoever, the cost of HGH is about that much. Dont know why.

If you have the script why not order it from overseas, fax the script over to them and bring it in legal, for 1/5th the price. I've have done it dozens of times, test, GH, even with primo, just be sure its within your 90 day limit.

Good luck Vulgar, I hope everything works out. I know that when my mom was sick our tribe would not get her the necessary prescription for her lungs and we tried going through the company but she was over income but we could not afford the scrip as the pills (if I remember correctly) were $50/pill. [I actually want to say they were higher than that.] She needed to take 1/day.

So I hope this doesn't happen to you, keep us updated.

Just because you have a legit script, doesnt mean you can import all items problem-free.

If the item(s) you are trying to import is not FDA appoved for use in the United States then US Customs can sieze it and keep it if they choose to do so.

So here's word to the wise, when ordering from overseas send the pharmacy or manufacturing company a copy or FAX of your script so they can include it with the imported item- as per FDA and USPS importation guidelines. Once the imported item arrives safely to you, then you can mail or FAX your actual script back to them so they can keep it on file (if they require to have the actual script in their possession).

If you give them the actual script up front and it gets siezed, chances of getting the actual script back are pretty slim. Without the real script, there's no chance of filling it in USA as a last resort if u have to.

He'll end up paying more because buying from HGH from an actually pharm is expensive(if they are a legit pharm), even if you have a script. He'd be better of buying it from one of the sponsors. IMO

It's because the turnout vote here is only 30% and the entire congress is corrupt. I'm not sure which should be fixed first, but I'd go with mandatory voting, but even that in the US, the voting machines are set up in a way so there is no paper trail. We're just fucked, will fall like Rome did.
