is hypers good enough for lower back or do u have to do dead lifts? or hypers a couple time of weak? or anyone else with and ideas? good mornings good?
 
You are comparing apples to oranges bud, don't make it more complicated than it is. Deadlifts and goodmornings will build more mass than hyperextentions, dont over do it though as spinal erectors tend to recover more slowly than other muscles.
 
I've found that deadlifts and rack deads do the most for me. Good mornings are also a great lift for the lower back. But like mentioned, don't over do it. You don't do DB curls, Barbell Curls, EZ bar curls, cable curls, hammers, and iso curls all on the same day do ya? ;)

some do that plus reverse curls and concentration curls on the same day...4 sets of each as well :eek:
