Methoxsalen - tanning drug

Looking for feedback from people who have used Methoxsalen, the tanning pill that increases UV sensitivity.

I got reasonably tanned last year by using a tanning booth every second day and lots of sun, but this really adds up to a LOT of hours to only get "somewhat" tanned. I plan to carefully try Methoxsalen before using the tanning booth at night, to speed up my tan this year.

Is this the stuff you inject ? Small amounts of you'll puke like mad........ ?

I thought about this too, but didn't know where to get it ?

Have used this many times.

Take it 2 hours before tanning, and start with a VERY short tanning time, like 10 minutes. It will raise UV senstitivity a lot, so tanning must be started low and increased gradually. Yuo also need to be very careful about UV exposure for up to 24 hours after taking the drug, so don't tan one evening, then spend the next day out in the sun.

If yuo don't get any redness starting with 10 minutes, add 2 minutes more the next time. Yuo'll need a couple of days at least between sessions - I use it and tan once weekly in the winter, and every 4-5 days during the summer.

Thanks! Although I thought I read that it wears off in 8 hours. Either way, I'll play it safe and use it only at night and on days before I'm not in the sun.

If you supplement with a quality protein powder you will probably notice that it has some L-Tyrosine in it. L-tyrosine itself allows to skin more pigmentation, hus making you darker, quicker. If you want additional color, you can supplement with additional L-Tyrosine. It's inexpensive and effective...and without side effects. I notice a significant differenece in my tanning when taking my protein alone as opposed to not taking it. It's night and day really!

Sorry to hear about your Melanotan problems--I've done tons of research on different boards--seems that the darker freckles fade back to normal after 6 months or so.......I still think I'm gonna try either MI or MII.......good luck with the Methox

Even crazier, I have 2 spots on my stomach (about 1.5" round) from where I injected the MT II. They look like bruises, but they have been there for over a year now; the MT II tanned the skin at the injection site! It looks like it will be a full 2 years before they fade enough to match the rest of my skin.

You just need to take it 2 hours before tanning. You should get a base tan first before using this then you won't have worry too much about starting gradually or worry about burning.

If your going out in the sun for five hours then that's a different story.

I am about to try melanotan myself. I found a wealth of info from a web site where people write about their experiences and offer advice.

I just saw some really great looking woman with a rgolden brown tan and they said they take the peptide but still need tanning. You will appear much healthier looking.

I got permanent tanned spots at my inject sites on my stomach. I suggest injecting somewhere hidden, and watch out for new freckles, and dark circles around your eyes. The risk of looking like a freak with MT II was too much for me. At the time, I signed up at the above site and it seemed that more than half of the users got tons of permanent freckles.

I used the methox cream and only went for half the tanning time and it burned the shit out of me so much that i had a burn scar under my pec for over a year. I had to go to the clininc and get a script for the silver cream to get any relief . be real real careful w that bro.

You're talking of the tabs, Dad, not the cream, right?

It comes in 10mg tabs... which dosage do you suggest? One tab each time you tan?

I bought tabs from a board sponsor, but the entire bottle label is in chinese. Can someone please confirm for me if these are 10mg tabs?? Also the usage instructions from the website are now gone. Can someone please post the dosages required? Thanks

If you're in the US the brand name for the drug methoxsalen is 8-MOP.

It indeed comes in 10mg tabs.

The chinese version is probably a generic... so should be 10mg too

I had great success with MT-II

I got too dark actually made everyone around me look white. I don't have many freckles, but the few I do have got very dark. It has since all faded back to normal. I was thinking about using a small amount to kick -start my summer color. One thing I'd suggest to avoid tanning at the injection site is using it IM. Use a slin pin and put it in your shoulder or maybe quad.

Should I half the time to 5 minutes and start off on the Methoxsalen very carefully, like only a half-tab (5mg) 2 hours prior?
