The last time a major network aired the Olympia, it was a fucked up mess. The dubbed music OVER the competitors, and the commentators talked the entire time anyways so you could not hear the music anyways. The cut off routines for time, and it was not aired live.

VERY doubtful they will air this live anyways..

This is a huge step for bodybuilding. Hopefully the ratings are good, but I have a feeling they won't be when compared to other sports that NBC airs. It's still cool none the less.

I personally would be a bit surprised if it got good ratings. I feel like people will flip through the channels, see these freaks and watch for 3 minutes out of curiosity, then change the channel.

To everyone thinking you won't have to stream...you will. They will be airing 2 specials on the Mr.Olympia 3 and 4 weeks AFTER the competition, in mid-late October.


So it's not replacing bb.com, but it is still a huge step for the industry. Will be cool to rewatch it on TV a month later!
