nutrition certification??

hey guys was wondering what you think is the best online nutrition certification. i really would like to do this and get certified but there are so many and i would like to do the best one thanks for any info!!!

i would like to have a greater understanding of the diet and nutrition so that i can start doing my own diet and not relying on anyone eles. i have a nutritionist now that i use but at time im not sure if im pleased with what my results are so i would rather just do it myself so that im the only one to blame if i look like shit. but then again why does it matter why i wanna get certified.

I am partial to the International Society of Sports Nutrition...now mind you this is sports nutrition not clinical. Their CEO Dr Jose Antonio is a brilliant guy, and their 650+ page book, Essentials of Sports Nutrition is awesome. Don't listen to people who say screw the certification. It is good to have a goal, to study for the goal, and then to pass it. It will help you stay disciplined and study better, and that is the goal, to learn and to remember. Go for it.

I agree with this about the book, and most of Antonio's stuff is outstanding as he says. The book is thorough and very well done.
As to certification I agree...sorta. This industry has become great at the good end and shoddy in parts (btw I am NSCA certified and have been for a long time) especially I think in the nutrition side of it. If possible, I would get a sampling of materials online to see what helps you achieve your goals best and do what you are doing: ask around.
