I got off work early today to spend some time with my wife and start a relaxing weekend. I get home only to see that one of my metal storage sheds has a collapsed roof. The only thing holding it up is the patio furniture and boxes of personal belongings in the shed.
If it weren't for all the rain, on top of the snow, this would not have happened. But when it's 32-34 degrees it isn't warm enough to melt the snow and it isn't cold enough for rain to turn to snow. All the snow/rain had an ice effect on the bottom layer and the edges and then just soaked up all the water and kept adding weight until it collapsed.
Home owner's insurance is sending an adjuster next week. I threw a tarp over it to hopefully prevent anymore water damage to anything inside. Hopefully he will have good news about the whole situation. Nothing is ruined that cannot be replaced, just a shitty thing to happen. Rant over, thanks.
