Just wondering if anyone watched Shutter Island this weekend?

I HIGHLY recommend it, its a total mindf*ck.

I didn't see that movie, but I finally went to see Avatar...and it was a total walletf*ck. It was a good movie, but I almost shit myself when I had to shell out $27 for two tickets! Extra charge for digital 3-D??? If they are going to keep making these 3-D movies, they REALLY need to brighten up the picture.

I saw Shutter Island last night and I thought it was an incredible movie. The story is pretty complex and the more you think about it, the deeper you see it really is. I highly recommend this movie!

I thought Shutter Island was a fantastic film. The style of the movie from the camera angles to the music gave it an "old" feel that I haven't seen in a while. They did an great job of drawing you into the story and the "dream" sequences were fantastic.

My girlfriend left the theatre baffled, wondering "What the hell goes on in these writers' heads??"

Yeah Socom, Beautiful Mind came to mind right away. If you like Shutter Island, Google "Session 9". Very good independent film along the same lines.

i saw it last ngiht with my parents and my younger sister. They all though it was ok noting special. I thought it was pretty good. I fucken love leo, all his movies kick ass.

What a great movie. Worth every penny IMO. It's so nice leaving the theater thinking about what a great movie you saw, putting the pieces back together, noticing clues, hints, & not thinking about wasting $11.

Too bad there are so few amazing movies made anymore. I'd mention some things I thought were real cool when looking back after seeing the end but I don't wanna ruin it for anyone.

If you haven't seen it-- check it out!

VERY true, my friend... Very true.

It was apparent from the beginning what was going on... Reminds me very much of a similar movie starring John Cusack, Ray Liotta, Amanda Peet, and Jake Busey (NAME WITHHELD TO AVOID SPOILAGE). It was almost copycat... until the ending.

Very good movie, I particularly enjoy Scorcese's work.

Entertainment Book: Movie Discounts

I have not seen Shutter Island except for 9 months of movie trailers. LOL. I will see it, although its not generally the type I like.

I do have a suggestion for you movie goers. I purchased an "Entertainment" Book that has all the coupons and discounts and it has at least thirty discount coupons for movie theaters around me. We save about $8 every time we go and the book cost $20. I tear them out and keep them in the car.

Shutter Island

I went and me and my Girl enjoyed it. It was sold out here in Michigan. I'm in a College town with 2 nice size colleges so if you wear any sweatshirt or t-shirt with the WMU or K-College and you get tickets for 6.50. Plus I'm part of Goodrich Quality Theatres Buying Card and you get a Large Popcorn and 44oz drink for $3.75 so instead of Spending $40 plus for two its more like $15.

Needless to Say we go every weekend!

Concept has been done before. 6th Sense, Passengers, Fight Club.... The whole "Twist" thing. Same idea, different story.
