today is the the sixth annivesary of 9.11
everyone take some time between 8:45 and 10:28 to reflect on what happened that day it is up to use the people of the united states to keep all those peoples memories alive

Sorry I couldnt let this go unposted about. I will forever remember 9/11/01 for MANYS reasons!! I am orginally from CT/NY area so this hits home very hard for me.. I was actually on a plane that morning about 845am flying home from charlotte nc to newark nj. we were over VA when this happened. I was a mess when I called from the airplane and got the news. I also remember this day as the first day of my mothers chemo treatment.

I please ask that this thread doesnt turn into a politic battle of conspiracy theories.. please just keep the focus on remembering today and those who lost their lives in this tragedy.

Good thread. Horrible day to remember. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the victims of 9-11, and all the heroes who, every day, help minimize the chance of this happening again. This was a tragedy. I don't even know what else to say.

Being born and raised in the USA, that day will be forever etched in my mind and soul. It felt like a huge chunk of my heart was pulled out. I sat stunned as the news broke here in Australia. I woke from a deep sleep right after the first plane hit. Do not even know why. I turned on the Tube and there it was. The day full scale terrorism came to my beloved country. I have paused numerous times today to stop and reflect, remember and say a little prayer for everyone. I shed a tear thinking of all those left behind. I try not to harbour anger but instead replace it with dignity and pride in "The United States Of America"!! God Bless them all. God forgive the rest.

They were INNOCENT people so whoever has any kind of theory we shouldnt care...Killing the innocent is not right no matter what the reason is.

When this happened I was still in college first semester, University of New Haven...a bit close...I remember it was a shock to everybody

This is also a good time to pary for all the killings around the world to end whether its war or not...I hope this madness comes to peace soon

I hate to think that more phone calls are made today than most days,but who do you need to call mom dad friends?Has it been awhile since you told them you love them?well get to it .911 is so much bigger than what happen at the towers.Its about how we let hate and misunderstanding afect are lives.I also know there is more than those two things but i think they are the base.Today i will let my gaurd down.I will make that phone call.I will try to understand more pepole.I will try to make someone feel better.Today i will try to be a better person all around.The guy that wants to hog the machine at gym so what ,how about the dumb ass on the cell phone that just cut me off in traffic so what!I am also going to get rid of the word try and replace it with i will.All this comes from a man with alot of hate and anger.I know i am not the only one.Who brakes the cycle? Today i will let it start with me.If i can do one more thing. I just wont do this today.Maybe me and a sisters or brothers from PM will meet on the street and we both do something for each other that makes the others day better.If we could make it that far what a day that would be.Well I am going to stop while i am ahead.before i dont make any sense or my thoughts run together.I am not to good at this.seya at the gym

Even though Im not American, I will always remember this day, as will many Europeans. What happened was a symbol of indescribable barbarism and probably the vilest terrorist act in human history, one can only hope that the persons responsible will someday be punished accordingly.

Yep ,took a min today to bow and say a little prayer for the great people and the inocent ones that died that day.

I'll never forget that day as long as I live for several reasons.

Its sad to say but I realy liked the way the country came together after this happened , it seemed that for once we were all on one side and had a common problem no matter what race we were , now it seems that we are back to the same old thing.


If you guys don't mind me asking I'd like to ask that everybody give a little prayer or at least a though to our military and others that are serving now ,
