What Victorious said. Sear it at the end or sear it first and then smoke it on a smoker if you have one. There are a lot of other options. I like Bison, Elk, Venison (not always cheaper but all good to keep a variety).
I even like skinless boneless chicken thighs!

Dude, a Traeger with a sear then smoke is incredible. Traps the juices, comes PERFECTLY to temp every. Single. Time.

I got 700 lbs of USDA prime delivered Saturday (whole cow), you’d best believe I’ll be making smoked meat all spring to cut.

still not sure if you are in US or not, but that is a specialty meat, not the regular tenderloin you would get in the warehouse

I'm in canada.. didn't realize that was specialty. Only thing that shows up on costco website for pork tenderloin

Website prices are always higher even for the regular items, and specialty meats like that are usually very pricey

I haven’t bought pork tenderloin in quite a while but i can’t imagine it being more than $3.50/lb

the regular large whole pork loin is always cheaper than the tenderloin

Found it for $20/kg at a local grocery store just now.

Bought some to try out.. once I see if I like it I'll go price hunting

I always use a marinade because it‘s so lean and can dry out when cooking. Good with mojo marinade, pressure cooker, then shredded
