Hey does any body know of anything to put in your protein shakes(whey) that can make them thicker when mixed up? I used to buy the metrx protein (not the mrp) and it was really thick. But
I dont like the price.So I usually stick with the eas and it is like water.Ther is something they put in the protein,mrps, that makes it more fullfilling come contest prep. thanx

less liquid. i use to take eas protein and mixx with soy mik about half the amount of liquid and it would make a very good protein pudding.
 
if you want to try something that taste increadible try this
vanillia whey protien
200ml of plain yogurt unflavored
froven black berrys
and water
it taste so good swear to god you try one you will be lookin forward to protien shakes all day
 
Shakes are a sort of treat for me - I love to blend them thick and stick them in the freezer for a while before I eat them with a spoon. I hate the idea of drinking a shake - it's not at all satiating.

The solution: Xanthan Gum. It is one of the ingredients used to thicken up shakes. It's a non-usable carbohydrate, so no added calories. Just add 1/2 to 1 tspn per shake while blending and there you go.

Blends that contain casein are usually thick but pure whey products is another story.

I have heard that you don't even have to use a blender for the rice cakes, you can just crumble them up and when you put them into a shake it's kind of like eating food. That might satisfy your need to eat and might also be more filling.
