Seized Package showed up today....

Guys I thought I'd seek some input from the board on this one.

Two days ago I got my first seizure letter about a package of ephedrine that I ordered back in July of 2006. It said that the package was seized and that according to the customs declaration it was "Toiletries", and that I had the right to a hearing, blah, blah, blah.

No big deal, I just tore it up and threw it in the trash and figured the pills were gone. Here's the problem.

Today I get a package from the UK which has a ship date on it of July 19th, 2006. Now I have only ordered from the UK once and that was the ephedrine pills that got seized. On the customs declaration it says, "Toiletries". Clearly this is the package that got seized. WTF?

The package has green US Customs and Border Protection tape all over it because clearly it was opened. I have not opened the package, it is sitting on my counter right now. I can't send it back because their is no return address. I can't imagine that customs would put some type of tracking device in it or anything and I figured they would have busted down my door by now since I have it in my possession.

What do you guys think about this? I have read all the seizure letter threads before and I know that you just chuck em in the trash, but I have never heard anyone post something like this before. Thanks in advance.

LOL! I just opened the package and inside was a notice that the "narcotic and/or illegal contraband inside" had been confiscated and that I would be receiving notice of the seizure soon.

It still had the container inside, but it was empty. What a waste.

Ephedrin is legal to buy and have up to a certain amount over said amout it can be taken like your planning to convert it to Meth or some othe illlegal drug like having to much Sudaphed (sp) and such. I think I heard once that the limit was like 7000mg were allowed for purchase over a 30 day period not to exceed 500mg per day or some such shit.

I'm supprised that they went through all that , I got a couple buddies that wrok for U.S. Customs and they say that most of the time they just throw the shit away and not even bother with the paper work unless its a big package or its drugs like pain killers or crack then they will pursure it. Steroids are way low on their problem list. You know that both of these boys are jacked up all year I'm sure that their taking shit home!!!

Sounds a bit odd but maybe a couple of the boys from customs are having a laugh at your expense. They took your shit home and then decided to fuck with your head a bit...LOL. On a more seriuos note, you can't exactly get done for what you do not have!! For all you know there may really have been toiletries in there.

Hey rubdub, maybe one of the customs guys was told he had really bad BO from too much test that they been seizin and usin so he saw tioletries and decided to have a spruce up!!! Then he got disappointed when he found the eph. but said, AH SHIT, BUT HEY I"LL USE THESE TOO!

although labeling ephedrine tabs as toiletries is not illegal, it is against Customs regulations to do so. This is most likely the reason for the seizure of the tablets even though ephedrine by law is not illegal as long as the serving size is no larger than 10mg per tablet

Same thing has happened to me twice-got a seizure notice followed by an empty package with customs tape all over it!

That's funny. Customs over here are not all that different. I was using some prohormones which I ordered off the net. I had already got three shipments thru when one day my wife tells me that some guy from customs rang. First thought was oh shit they got my prohormones. Yep I was right, they did. No letter just a phone call. I returned this guys call. He came down on me like I was Al capone! Accused me of importing banned anabolic compounds etc, etc. When he was done I had my turn, I asked the guy what he had in front of him, he didn't answer so I answered for him, I said what do have there....hmmmm let me see, 1 can of animal stack, some dhea and a thermogenic.......right. Hardly a major bust in my book...........The customs man got real quiet and i went on to say......listen pal, if you had a shipping container there full of this shit then you can call me........until that happens how about I send you an apology letter for being a bad boy and promise not to do it again.......will that do. His answer was yes. I think I hinted at the fact they were not doing their job well cause I'd already gotten three thru. I then asked if he could send me my shit now that this matter is all cleared up............................... 5years, still waitng!!!!
