yes, i will toot my own horn .. when all the busts were going down a few years back i said that big pharm was involved.. strictly for our safety .. anyway.. i said that they would start backpeddling about test usage and using it More frequently in scripts ect and that the media would start doing better stories on steroids ect..

well tonight john stossel of abc news was on o reilly.. he was setting the record straight about the gross misinformation and hypocrisy involved in gear usage compared to tobbacco, alcohol, fatty foods being more dangerous to us than gear.. also saying that in a recent article put out today that kids have bigger dangers than gear namely sniffing glue, tobbacco, alcohol, ect ect.. yet we are scared of big arms..

stossel was on promoting his show 20/20 on steroids tomorrow.. he is setting the recortd straight on the dangers and actually takes many in the medical community to task for misinformation.. it looks to be good.. he has pinned two article in two days about how we are being fed a bunch of lies about gear usage and showing there is no info to back it up..

now all this is going on and what do i see.. a commercial about men having low test levels and effecting their quality of life.. yes, a commercial about hrt.. never thought i would see that..

now not tooting my own horn lol but, this was very transparent a few years back.. i told a few guys about me talking to a former dea that was here in the mid west about this.. he laughed.. he said "hell yes.. they want in.. it is big money baby.. they will do it slowly... but, it will steamroll once it gets started"...

so guys please watch stossel tomorrow.. he is trying at least.. and yes, if the urge hits ya go to abc web site and thank them for portraying the truth in a educated manner.. trust me a few thousand well written, articulate letters will show the appreciation and maybe further shows down the road.. the show is highly rated and watch.. let them know you appreciate the truth.. we are our own worst enemy about not speaking out.. when someone has the balls to do s well informed show like chris bell and john stossel we need to let them know we appreciate it..

O'Reilly looked like such a dumbass parroting all the misinformation out there.

Stossel was great. He conveyed his information very weill. I hate it when O'Reilly has a good guest on and constantly interupts them. The other night he had Dick Morris on and I wanted to hear what Morris had to say...Instead, big mouth kept on butting in with his opinions.

Same thing happened tonight, O'Rielly was opening his mouth when he might have been listening instead.

I thought O'Reilly looked like a screeching, old woman, when he made comments like...."It's cheating, you're wrong!" followed up with ...."those are illegal drugs!" Crap like that.

I appreciate any positive press on anything the government has no right in involving themselves...such as my body. As much as O'Reilly states how "fair and balanced" he is, he makes me cringe...even when I might agree on a point he has...he comes across pompous, arrogant, and won't let the opposing view make their case.

That said, it will be interesting to see how long anything will change regarding this issue. As more and more baby boomers look for an youthful edge, pressure might come from certain medical lobbyist groups to start pushing for less stringent government controls. I don't see it happening...but you just never know. I will be watching Stossel tonight with great interest.

I agree with Lats, the voice of the masses will only bring about change. Contact ABC with a professional, courteous feedback, and the page could begin to change. Likewise with O'Rielly...emailing him with a professional opposition email may or may not help...it would be one way to vent at the media who is only hell bent on negative news with no thought of looking at the FACTS.

Where Stossel went wrong is when he said that baseball players should be allowed to take steroids if they want. He did follow up and said if MLB wants to ban performance enhancers thats fine but the government shouldnt be involved. But after saying he thinks they should be allowed to take them it gives a major opening for someone opposing to start saying "cheating" and there illegal just like O'Rielly did.

Someone needs to write a well put together letter, not very long, about the witch hunt, health risks, congress, ect and post in on all the BB forums. Then people can just start copying and pasting it on all the comment sections of news articles and sending it to news anchors.

That is lovely news.
When I return to the states it might be that much easier to get therapy.
Once this breaks public consciousness doctors will be more likely to write scripts for legitimate low T needs.

good news . . .

I remember when Plastic Surgery made it's first attempts to go "cosmetic" with elective procedure . . . . nose, tits, lipo and such. It took a long time for it to become accepted by the majority of the world. But once the corporations became involved and they realized the absurd amount of money they could make . . . well, it doesn't take long for them to lobby the politicians to relax/change laws to push their products thru approval and make them available to be used for all these elective procedures.

Now, you can't open any local advertising newspaper/magazine and not see a Plastic Surgery ad on every other page. If the pharm companies want a new patient population (having exhausted the Viagra gravy train), one that is more than eager to take their TRT meds than any other type of patient since Viagra . . . then it really is a "no-brainer."

They don't need to do any further research or develop any new medications. Just re-start the production line for various Test products . . . . EASY MONEY.

But HERE IS THE KEY . . . . the pharm companies MUST convice the media that TRT/HRT is acceptable and isn't "steroid abuse." It doesn't matter if that is what it COULD develop into . . . Just have to convince the media that TRT/HRT is fine and is the real fountain of youth.

Once the media latches on to the idea and starts putting it out there as being ok . . . then average Jack and Jill citizen WILL fall in line like they always do.

HRT/TRT will probably become what Plastic Surgery is today. In other words, it will become what THIS BOARD is already doing. But by then, it will be accepted as fine and the norm.

LOL. I can't wait to see if the pharm companies can pull this off and get the media on their side. North America and a good part of Europe may just be vain enough now for this to work.

. . . and it usually takes an over-reaction to a problem to bring about a change in perspective and realize the problem isn't the evil it was thought . . . which is why the whole baseball steroids issue with congress in America and such actually works to HELP the TRT/HRT side. The list is long of the "vice" that is now accepted but was at one time an "evil" and persecuted as such.

It's always about the money, for sure.

If TRT becomes just another medical treatment/script such as viagra, then the entire stigma of anabolics will change. My guess is we are about 7 years away from being able to get TRT from our general MD or endo MD just as readily as getting a nose job from a plastics MD, all based on cosmetic/elective request.

i sent it last night lats. It took a lot of courage to air a piece that goes against the political current and provided a true unbiased look at the way things really are.

I get mad because of all the older men who would qualify for HRT/TRT and/or gh therapy and would increase the quality of their life that are unaware it exists OR cannot find an endo/uro to prescribe it for them.

I truly hope this helps to put an end to the witch hunts and wasteful spending of money.
