I think absorption rates for most are right about the 3g mark, no matter what, so 5g of plain powder should be fine. No use taking more, but I agree that creatine is just one of those things that should be taken every day, whether dieting or adding size. In fact, it's even more valuable when dieting and a real must, but for some folks, creatine is just considered a 'wet' supplement. Not true. You don't have to get into weird esters and so forth, plain creatine monohydrate is all you need. You can try ethyl Ester, etc if bloating is an issue, which it really shouldn't be with just 5g a day.
