Creatine HCL

I like the goofy ones. Regular mono is just an ass blaster. Micro mono seems better in that area for me. I never really noticed anything with creatine until magna , Crea pure, kre alkaline ect.
 
Creatine is the most studied sports supplement in the history of ever. HCL vs. Mono vs. whatever new bullshit they're trying to sell...it doesn't matter. No need to load, cycle, or anything more complicated than take it consistently, hydrate, train. There are non-responders, and if you're one, don't waste your money.
That's it. That's, objectively, all anyone ever needs to know about creating.

HCL is more soluble than monohydrate.

That being said there is ZERO evidence it is better. 100% creatine saturation within a muscle cannot go any higher and we KNOW that mono achieves this. Yes some people report less stomach bloating with the hcl due to better solubility BUT the fact that they are only taking TWO GRAMS has alot more to do with the less bloating. Of course 2g will bloat less than 5-10, regardless of the form.

We sell both and we make more from HCL, by a country mile, and I still tell folks to get mono.
 
I noticed the ‘smoothing’ effect which is why I asked him, thinking diet, not supps. He said he added creatine. I said for fucks sake . . . tell me when you do this stuff. And in the case of creatine, avoid it. You are growing like a tick without it.

He got off it and he sharpened up and didn’t feel waterlogged (his word) playing soccer.

In the 90s many of the supplements coming out of the Golden Palace in the Rockies 'felt like Deca'.. so creatine being laced with dbol isn't a far stretch.

Fair enough, but that is a VERY RARE side effect when using a normal 5g dose of QUALITY micronized creatine monohydrate. In my 24 years of doing this(selling supplements) this is the first time someone has reported creatine causing uncontrollable defecation.
 
Do we have people here that prefer creatine HCL over mono?

I know a lot of people say just take mono, and it works for them. For me it doesn’t sit well in my stomach and gives some(unwanted) bloat. Have tried different brands as well.

The internet states that creatine HCL is superior, and that a dose of ~2 grams per day is sufficient because of the absorptium rate. Is this true?

Can’t find a lot of info regarding this with the search function(@Reno911).

I’m going to prove my point from the other thread that I contribute as much as I call people out.

The only case where I’ve seen people get “bloated” or have issues with creatine is when they’re using some cheap brand they got off Amazon or at Walmart. Creatine is already cheap… don’t buy some unknown brand. Lol

Just like your gear you should always get testing to prove that you’re actually getting quality supplements. It’s extremely common in this industry.

Creatine monohydrate is backed by endless studies and even has benefits such as regulating homocysteine levels in the body. Take it intra workout with some carbs and you should have no issues if it’s a quality product.

It was controllable, just had to go all the time. All liquid. I don’t remember what I was taking at the time. I have anxiety disorder ( didn’t know it at the time) so that could contribute

I don't doubt you in the least, just wanted other folks to know this is extremely rare.

Out of curiosity were you dry scooping and then chasing it down with water? Was the creatine being taken by itself and not in a pre-workout or combo product?

This may have been when I added Super Pump to SizeOn from Gaspari. SizeOn was fine and I used that for a while. I don’t remember what I was using before I tried SizeOn. Probably something from Protein Factory.

This was 18 years ago. I have my workout notes from then but not brands or supplement dosages. Looked through them over the weekend

Super pump was pre and was a nitro product. I didn’t think it was worth the price just for a pump. SizeOn back then was intra and had a bunch of stuff in it. I know the formulas have changed.

All I really remember was I went back to normal after I stopped taking something but was still on a creatine product.

I’m surprised my old ass even remembers that much.

We used to call it Super Dump. 100% serious.

100% it had a MUCH TOO LARGE of a dose of magnesium added to it. Notorious for the super dumps. I would bet it was this and not the creatine mono.
 
Omg. Super Dump. I recall now.

Ok. So I guess final answer would be regular mono just didn’t do it for me but didn’t cause the poops.
