sudden weakness for no reason, ever happen to you?

So today I go to the gym today after 2 days of rest to do shoulders, I warm up, do rear delts everything is fine. I move on to DB press and.. holy shit everything feels heavy. Weight that I usually do for 10-12 reps I cant even do one. I even checked the weights to make sure I didn't grab 10 or 20 lbs heavier than I wanted. I finish the work out and every other exercise felt pretty normal. I'm really confused by this. My form was fine, nutrition is good as I've been eating more/higher quaility foods, I got 8-9 hours of sleep the past few nights and hadn't done shoulders or chest for like 6 days... we'll see what happens next week I guess. I'm just wondering if this has ever happen to anyone else?
 
Maybe just an 'off' day it sounds like. Who knows you're body may be fighting off a bug going around. Has there been much weather change in your area?
 
For me this is usually a food problem or Im overtrained.

If you haven't eaten enough the days before, but have gained weight in the past few weeks, maybe you reached the point when your body isn't able to keep up with the new muscle you've added.

This happened to me a few times, a little more protein or overall macro adjustment sorts it out in a few days. Or a week off.
 
This has happen to me before but sometimes we got to listen to our body and take 1 week off.
 
I agree. Overtraining does that to me. It isnt a bad thing to take a few days off once in a while. Not sure if thats your case but I wouldnt worry too much.
