the carbs on a one day carb up?

when doin ckd, i know its no fruits cause it will take longer to get back in ketosis? but arent complex carbs like wheat spegetin, brown rice, oats justr as long to break down or no? i have read only simple carbs on the one carb up day, so will eating the complex make you take longer to get back in or is that just fruits?

For bodybuilding I'm not a fan of the CKD, if any thing a TKD. I have my own variation. only simple carbs is NOT Ideal. It really depends on how you do the work out if you do a depletion work out on your carb up day in the AM, you may have fruit to kick your self out of ketosis followed by a high GI carb like a 50:50 dextrose/whey shake. After this point I would tapper down the GI content, white rice/potato would be ok following the PWO shake, then stick to 55 range GI carbs. Also unless you're doing 7-10+ 0 carb days never carb up more than 1 day, and I don't even recommend finishing your carb up day w/ a carb meal.

Again though I have experimented with every thing and I found this diet just causes bbers to lose too much muscle, I don't care about the science on paper, the muscle glycogen levels are too low for too long to get a really high quality work out, so I don't recommend it unless fat loss is your only goal. Its an incredible diet if your obese.
