after getting a great workout first time hard heavy full boddy squats and dead lifts i was drinking lots of water and after lifting i started feeling uzzi? and then went in bathroom and threw up. it was all water and not liek being piss drunk but still why this? happen?

Sounds like you had a great workout! Some guys and even gals have been there quite a few times. Just sounds like you really pushed yourself hard, and the body responded back the only way it knew how to get some relief. It happens and you'll be fine.

(assuming you didnt have a cold or a stomach virus that could have been the cause)

Why does everyone think that when someone's throwing up during squats they must have had a good workout??

I know the feeling, I get it usually at the end of my leg workout where I feel drained. I believe it has a lot to do with the depletion of energy, sometimes I noticed that it helped when wearing a cap, just keeping the head warm didnt give me the sick feeling.

And I mostly got the sick feeling when I was off cycle, when I'm on cycle I dont get that feeling at all.

Throwing up is not cool and it's bad on your teeth too. That acid will eat your teeth.

...

I haven't thrown up after squatting for a while, but I think it might have to do with excess lactic acid and too much blood pumping too hard (very scientific logic that).

I often have to just sit and rest for a few minutes before I can leave the gym though.

Last time I threw up I walked out of the gym after squatting completely rooted and met my girl, who was meeting me after doing some shopping (my gym adjoins the mall). She thought I looked pale and dizzy but I told her I'd be ok, before projectile vomiting about 3 litres of water and various just past her - lucky she had quick reflexes. She got me a Coke because I felt like i was going to pass out and that made me feel better, until I threw that up at the front doors to the shopping mall. I got some "admiring" looks from passers by. :D

Thats too funny :D

I always get the same symtoms after a full body circuit trainging workout w/ all out balls to the wall intensity. I have heard it is lactic acid build, but it almost feels like your going hypo. I usually drink something like sprite after wards and lay down wich helps.

I have heard sodium bicarbonate can buffer lactic acid in system. If this is true i wonder if drinking some gingerale and taking a tab of acaseizer sp? would help aleviate symtoms faster.

If you go back and re-read what I said again, you'll find out I pretty much said exactly what you said, just not in the same words!

LOL, I know throwing up is never good but I will say this "WELCOME TO WONDERLAND". It is as Ironmike said. A build up of lactic acid in your gut. Squats and deadlifts will force the body to produce a lot of this. The only way out when it hits critical levels is up!! Been there, done that, It will get better over time. The longer you lift, as in years you usually do not get this. Your body adapts to the rigors of heavy training and makes adjustments.

Throwing up? Its when you PASS OUT that you know it was a good workout! And after you pass out, do 6 more reps to make sure! ;)
