Urologist visit got me concerned

Never have heard of that, looks promising. I'm worried about what can go wrong doing that. Do any guys suffer from incontinence after that? Wouldn't want to have to wear diapers. I know traditional surgery can cause that, but its only temporary.

I guess the flomax causes you bad sides? I can't even tell I'm taking mine, as far as sides. Only good affects. Maybe I'm lucky?
The flowmax doesn't cause any sides for me either, but I'm not a fan of taking meds forever. The urolift doesn't seem to have any of the issues associated with more invasive procedures. No sexual issues and no incontinence. I'll keep you posted as I determine a course of action.

Yes, thanks. If mine get worse as I age I will probably need something done about it. I like to plan ahead.

I've used finasteride and it worked well. Unfortunately, it's sketchy as fuck. Some testimonials of permanent ED. It also interacts negatively with nandrolone.

I am 64 and have had BPH for about 10 years now. no cancer but very annoying. 2 times I had to go to the ER for a catheter. finally had laser surgery where they shave off part of the gland. worked pretty well but then I had bleeding this year as it does grow back and the blood causes clotting which then requires a catheter again. right now I am doing good. but absolutely no more gear for me ever again. flomax caused lots of problems for me, dizziness and a dry ejaculation. didn't work that well either. hopefully you can find a good urologist in your area. I still run to the bathroom a lot and need to plan my car trips carefully, but I've learned to live with it.

Wonder why they dont try the urolift surgery on you? That looks effective. Im still just taking flomax and getting by ok. Saw an urologist and he felt like status quo was ok for now. He didnt want to prescribe finasteride unless he had to.

Reload, have you tried 5mg Cialis daily?

Noone is asking what his PSA is. Slightly elevated 5-10 is common for a male post 50yo on TRT. Extreme numbers >15-20 is concerning. And if the gland is smooth, likely no cancer. Most all aging men have BPH. Especially if on AAS. If you have symptoms its a problem. Prostatitis is an infection. I dont believe he said he had an infection. Cialas help with blood flw and BPH. The new procedure Urolift is promising and helps alot.

I have on and off. It gives me these odd headaches that are hard to tolerate.

In July my total test was 217 ng/dL (193-740 range) so near the bottom.
Continue to be off everything. Interestingly I feel great. No ED issues at all.

I had lithotripsy for the kidney stone. Surgeon placed a stent in the ureter
leading off that kidney to allow the stone fragments to pass. Uncomfortable, I bleed for 3-4 days before the bleeding stopped.
There was a string attached to the stent that hung out of my penis. Kinda like a tampon?
Had my post op appointment a week after and the x-ray showed that the stone particles
hadn't completely flushed out so had to keep the stent in another week:(
X-ray the following week showed the stone particles had completely cleared and out came
the stent. There are no words to describe the relief having that thing removed.

It's been almost 2 months to the day since my Lithotripsy surgery and I'm feeling great.
My urinary retention issues have completely disappeared which has got me scratching my head.
Might get up to pee once at night...most nights I don't at all now.
Shoulders got repaired in 2018 about 7 months apart. Long rehab between both.
Colon surgery this June and kidney stone surgery this Aug.

I went longboarding/surfing with my older daughter (15 y/o) today:)

Yeah, the iron bug bit me hard and I'd be lying if I told you that I'll never do AAS or at
minimum, TRT again but I feel very blessed right now. My gym finally opened up this week.
I have absolutely zero interest getting back in there. Think I'm gonna put the gorilla suit
away for good.

As well as you respond to 10mg daily have you considered 5mg daily for TRT? Super low T isn't healthy either.

What happened with your colon? Diverticulitis?

I'm aware but the thing is my having low T doesn't seem to be giving me ANY problems right now. Not getting "skinny Fat", no ED issues. Cognitively sharp. No mood swings etc.
It's very perplexing.

Yep. In 2013 I had a large abscess rupture in my peritoneal cavity (due to severe Diverticulosis/itis). Went septic. Emergency surgery to wash me out and then 4 JP drains placed. 10 days in the hospital and another 1.5 months with a PICC line self administering IV Ceftriaxone. Fun times. A few more admits after that and the GI surgeon said, "your Sigmoid colons gotta go". He did a colon resection and anastamosis and I was back home in about 4 days. The prostate issues arose after that but now everything seems great.

If its not broke don't fix it. Better being natural. No worrying about high hematocrit etc. Maybe your level will climb higher later on. How long have you been off? When I got off for about 1 year my total never got higher than 50. You're lucky.

My mother had that, but it was way down in the colon and she had to have a colostomy. She had that for 1 year and then they reconnected her colon thankfully.

My gym closed in Mid March so I just decided since I couldn't train consistently to come off everything. Been off for about 7.5 months now.
Wondering if Boron might raise my natural (total/free) test a bit not that I'm feeling like I need to?

Not having a current infection was the reason the surgeon did the anastamosis vs. getting a colostomy. The sigmoid colon "is" way down in the colon and the common site of most diverticular issues. My dad had the same surgery your mom did but didn't have to endure the colostomy for as long. Think he had his for 3 months before they reconnected his colon.

Its pretty scary having that happen, burst. She was infected badly, bad enough that the doctor gave her the line 'if you had come in to the ER a few hours later you would have died". Not sure how long she stayed home before she went in. She was used to having cramps and pain because she had food allergies/intolerance. She thought she just had the flu with a high temperature.

a friend of mine had the urolift and was not really enthusiastic about it. my urologist also was reluctant just because it was a new procedure and they hadn't had much experience with it yet. I have heard some bad things about Finasteride in terms of side effects. loss of sexual desire and performance, although it is supposed to help with hair loss!

I feel your pain. I had a TURP friday and they removed the catheter on Monday morning. Monday night it clotted up and I had to go to the ER for a catheter. I am currently admitted and having CBI and aggressive irrigation to break up a 2 inch clot and they are probably sending me home tomorrow with the catheter for a few days.

Considered low dose Clomid? Newer research point to the ratios of T/E2/DHT affecting prostate health. When Test gets too low comparatively the prostate grows. Whatever you decide, hope you heal up soon.
