Yeah i would have thought that also but... unfortunately i had the same thing happen to me. I dont compete and it didnt blow out like that but it was in the same place on the same side. I shot 2cc of deca in my left delt about 4 years ago and a week later it looked like i had a baseball under my skin.
I went to the Dr and he immediately said it was a abscess (i knew this, i just wanted antibiotics). He made me an apt that day for surgery. Fuck that... i wasnt having a scar like that on my delt. So i popped a shit load of the antibiotics he gave me and ran to the stock and feed store and bout ten 18g syringes. When i got home i put heat on it for about 30 minutes then started sucking it out with the 18gs. When i was done i actually pulled almost 40ml of puss out before i got to pure blood. You talk about sick. It was running out just like the dude on stage until i put pressure on it for a while.
So, man i feel sorry for this dude. All that training and diet and he ended up ruining his name and time over a bad abscess.
Shit thats bodybuilding for you.
