What’s the oldest /longest expired gear you have used?

The main concern with having preloaded syringes sitting around is the rubber from the plunger breaking off into the oil. If you're going to store them for a few days keep them upside down and pull the plunger far enough back so the rubber isn't in the oil. In general I wouldn't let them sit more than a few days before using.

Will do that just as a matter of habit now because sometimes I load one up then forgot about it (usually when I have to share it with my wifey, think timing). I used to leave it loaded and in plain sight to remind me but my wife got tired of seeing a syringe laying around the house.

For completeness, I've personally seen loaded syringes touching the oil last 5+ months with no visible issues and work just fine (back in the 1990s). I've also personally seen syringes where the plunger began visibly inflating and deteriorating in 48-72hrs (normal oil, bb, ba prep). I don't know the difference and why as both were pharma test preps. This is one of those, no reason not to follow best practices here or roll the dice. I try not to preload and if I do I do exactly what the previous poster said, vertical with plunger back and air between solution and rubber.

Wow, interesting about those plungers going weird after such a short period of time.

My n=1 with preloaded syringes: my old TRT clinic would only dispense preloaded syringes (versus mailing everything or sending you home with a vial and supplies to do everything yourself), but you could do up to a month at a time. So each month I'd go pick up my next batch of preloaded shots (4 weeks worth) and did that for a couple years, and never had an issue, at least from an "eyeballing it" standpoint. But I also agree it's probably best to not preload and let sit days, much less weeks, on end.

Look. This whole rancid thing come from people who know nothing looking up how long store bought oil is good for on the shelf. ANY non shit preparation includes the drug, ba and bb in addition to the carrier oil. It is filtered sterile with alcohol preservative in solution. If kept in reasonable conditions it will be at or near full potency and totally fine indefinitely. I've seen plenty of 5-10+ year old gear in sealed vials and amps and even open half used vials. In my life I have literally never once seen a single instance of rancid oil (in any thread on any board in 20 years I don't think I've seen a single post from an experienced member ever indicate that they had either, and I've seen plenty where guys used super old stuff and responded to it just fine). I'm sitting on numerous old trt vials probably 8 year plus old and produces the same serum levels it did when it was new.

Now I'm not saying, inject total shit or aged crap without looking or examining (not saying it has never happened) but this crazy talk comes from 19 year old high school drop outs running their first cycle googling.

Thanks for making this clear. My source would tell me it lasts 4-5 years max. Now I know better.

If it was a real pharma company go for it, that said we had some real American Anadrol back in 2003 and they were brittle and dusty but man American drol was fucking jet fuel. No risk with pills. With inj the biggest factors are temp and light exposure but UGLs no matter how good I prefer to use fast but it’s just a preference that said if your not sure on an inj never pop it in

Totally agree with above. Injectibles should be 100% fine but people need to use their heads too and look at stuff. Also no need to seek out antiques and run them either. Gear is relatively cheap, ones health is priceless.

For what it's worth I think it was Jano who did some testing on gear he aged himself (maybe not in purpose) that was exposed to sunlight from an exterior window - so still sealed inside, temp controlled, but held in clear bottle and exposed to daily natural sun through a window. I think it was a near 50% loss of potency in 6 months for test E or C. Shocking really. I knew it mattered but not THAT MUCH. Was blown away.

As a general rule most medications / supplements / etc. are good for many years past expiration, the date is just to cover the manufacturer in case of liability. There's a study out there that looked at compounds 10-20 years past expiration and the worst case scenario was it was 80% as effective as it should've been.

Pretty sure that study was conducted by the army in an attempt to test how long medicines would last due to surplus or similar and like you say it was decades

Funny you should say that because I found an old bottle probably 7 years old lol and I took some out put in small cup and it smelled like normal oil so that’s why I was curious of what rancid oil is supposed to smell like , but your answer definitely makes sense at least in my experience, 7 years Is a long time lol, now bro how about the gear inside that’s also 7 years old ? what do you think ,does that go bad ?

No worries there bro ,they have to put expiration dates on ba and bb by law ,but I heard by many they don’t expire ,you can use those indefinitely, unless I heard wrong , I was worried about the oil and gear inside and what happens when they go years or even decades without use , like I said I heard by many that ba and bb don’t expire so your good to go there , someone jump in if I’m wrong here

What does rancid oil smell like ? will it be very obvious ,for example spoiled milk smell or something like that , you know dam well when milk is spoiled lol, just wondering what to look for

It's hard to describe but no where near spoiled milk. I have been in the grocery business for most of my life so I have dealt with 1000's of units of expired food over the years and once you smell it it's very easy to identify.

Get yourself a box of crackers or tortilla chips. Set them aside for six months past their sell by date. Open and take a whiff, that is rancid oil. It's not particularly offending like spoiled dairy or rotting meat but once you know it it's very easy to identify.

IMO many processed snack foods smell a bit like it all the time even if "fresh."
